Thanks for @mammothsbasement for the track list - Hudba
I just watched this full set by myself in my living room on acid. it was probably the best thing i could've done with my time. 10 out of 10
Rad
hit me up
I was the near the front when they played Brixton academy 👍🏽 spiritual!
Bravo

Talking Heads, Fela Kuti, Funkadelic, Hendrix I mean these comparions as a HUGE compliment. I've been listening to music for 55yrs, and waiting along time to hear a band this exciting for the past 25!
it's so clearly inspired by a century long legacy of music, mostly rock and psychedelia. they wear their influences loud and proud, yet manages to sound so unique and fresh. there have been an endless list of Jefferson Airplane imitators throughout the years, and I'm glad there's still interest in this type of music, but they all end up sounding really milktoast and uninspired. Goat just proves that this is far from a dead genre, to me they prove a that a genre can maybe never be dead.
People complaining about the band don't deserve attention. They never will get what psychedelic rock means
Goat is awesome
I listen to plenty of psyche rock... This is just another white people into the african music thing... And one of their stringmen is probably into Fu Manchu or some shit.
Basically, i really enjoy the instrumental side, but the singers just aren't very honest sounding or atleast convincing. Nice tones and screams and rhythms, but it just had a bit of dishonesty i find. Hard to explain otherwise.
Eno Eyes
It's just organic percussion to me. I just can't identify where is the afro elements (and I must can do it if was, 'cause I'm brazilian) and it is just 99% psychaedelic and 1% Golden Dawn spelling... nothing wrong with the girls singers, IMO, cause they are 100% heart and 0% tecnique.
Cheers!

You hear no Afro element in the singing? And 0% technique 100% heart... You're pretty serious aren't you. A quote like that means that there's a little bias going on surely, these are opinions we're debating here.
And mine is that the band is fine, and the girls are a couple of hippy chicks all into earthy stuff cuz it's very cool to them but the spiritual connection may lack since they probably weren't brought up in this culture. So they practice their little dances that they're gunna do for every number.
You wanna hear 75% technique and 100% heart? Janis Joplin. But that's comparing two different styles of music... doesn't work. Just had to throw her in there.
I analyze everything when I come upon it. I'm looking at the masks and getup. Their comportment. Their instrumental, their vocal, and the two together. And the only thing that seems to make sense is the instrumental. The vocals aren't that bad, but when you compare this to their visual act, one has to wonder how serious this is. Costumes are no problem, depending on the persons who wear them. All these costumes represent subconsciously is a cover between them and the audience. There is no understanding between them and it.
I wanna see if that jambay player acts the same way without his hood on. Because the behavior he's displaying is that of a person falling into the music. Its got nothing to do with how he looks. But if he doesn't have this behavior without the mask, that mean's it's an act. And why would you pretend to be enjoying your self?
I don't know man, it's just weird. Kids trying to be cool. They make good instrumental and alright vocal. But i'm not quite connecting. Same with most bands now days. There's a layer between people and reality it seems.
100% heart is what we need, but people don't seem to differentiate between reality and acts. And I should point out that acts aren't always conscious.

Noisey made an interview with the band and also posted a mixtape of music that Goat is influenced by...the mistape consists of a blend of music from Mali!!...

Dude!!..the vocals are not even close to being alright...:)...and their dance is worse!!
I saw them live two times and both times I was in complete trance the whole show. Watching this on a computer screen doesn't do them justice. Go and watch this in the flesh.
I'm 66 years old (scarless survivor of the 60s psychadelic voyage) & DIG this band ! I enjoy various genre of music from Soul, Blues, Rock thru to Folk & recently got to know about this band via the UNCUT magazine ! Get in & enjoy them or pull your rip cord & JUMP !
I actually thing they're up there alongside bands like Jefferson Airplane and Grateful Dead. and they manage to not be a copycat of either, or any band, and sound modern.
Its going to be a good harvest this season
I actually laughed out loud at this.
@@Yeoldehyltonville me too.
Faith in humanity restored, rock and roll is alive and well
hell yeah!
rock never died
Indeed.
Saw them at the OFF festival in Poland. This video can't even begin to convey how much energy they had on stage. Mind. Fucking. Blown.
Caught them live here in the US in a VERY small venue! It was so cool to see this up close and personal!
seen them live in 2013 in Katowice at the OFF Festival and they totally blew my socks off. as someone said it before - this recording doesn’t do them justice, they were AWESOME and I will never forget the vocalists’ performance, both vocal and choreography wise!
Rythm section is fantastic, all the band is fantastic!
THIS IS THE GREATEST THING IN THE HISTORY OF EVERYTHING
So much fun to watch and listen to!!! LOVE them!!!!!!
Goat are amazing. They are like sonic warriors from an ancient tradition that have come to show us all the way. Hail Goat.
people criticizing the singers have no fucking clue what it takes to pull off a show like this. to dance and jump around like that for almost an hour and barely be off-key is hard as hell.
The vocals are so beautiful and strong they make me cry. And the musical tasteful restraint and momentum building they master is astonishing
What a superb, intoxicating blend of psychedelic rock, jazz fusion, afro beats, cosmic funk packaged in a brilliant story line that is worthy of folklore and urban legend. WOW. Instant addiction.
Clicked the like button in the first 5 seconds! 😀.. who's with me ?
Just saw Goat at the Latitude festival that ended today. Let me tell you all that they were by far one of the best acts there. This shitty recording quality does them little justice and so does the large stage and day time light. At latitude it was evening, inside a large enough to be amazingly atmospheric tent with great sound. Just amazing ! Sound was soooo good, vocals were fantastic. I didn't even like Goat when i heard them for the first time, but seeing them live changed my mind. Far better than the shitty show The Black Keys put on for the festival finale, which was very neat and tidy and superbly boring.
Goat were the star of Latitude for me (and I loved Hollie Cook and Parquet Courts) ...hadn't read their PR backstory before hearing, but I can truely say their live sonic energy was transcendental.
How the fuk did this band slip by me...🤯...I just discovered them last week....one of my new favorite bands !!!
Yeah I'm surprised I didn't know about it for the longest time too. I only eventually discovered them through another band I inadvertently discovered through the local music scene called Endless Valley. They basically said they love Goat and were heavily inspired. That's a good enough reason for me to check 'em out because I love Endless Valley!
Loving every single aspect of this with the exception of the bongo player's bone shirt. I got my eyes on you man.
hell of an upload thanks
This band is great! And Buckethead's little brother is pretty good on the guitar!
Thanks dude !!!
I really loved this band!!! Awesome!
Only heard goat after their glastonbury 15 appearance - superb!
They're amazing.

Now, this is the kind of music that i would really love to dance to!
I think I just came in my pants after a long time.
What a performance 🙏 applause
Amazing gig!!!

Just awesome. They do sooo much right
This is what I call "In Your Face" Rock & Roll. All styles of Rock, Rolled into one.
i was at front of the crowd. just homw from the festival and goat were a definite highlight! .. amazing gig
So great!! They found THE SOUND or very near!!
This is one of the kost amazing things I've seen ever in my life. Such atmosphere and emotions, this is incredible!
totally awesome
I hear Amon Duul, The Slits and so much great music in their sound what a band. My mother started speaking in tongues the first time she heard Talk To God if that isn't a sign that they are something special I dunno what is.
playing the tambourine with one of your shoes...fucking incredible
Just awesome
One of the best of this years lineup
amazing show
Love them,
I was at this dirty filthy psychedelic show. It grabbed you in the groin and never let go. Incredible. My kind of Friday lunchtime in the field of dreams.
this is amazing!!!! new favorite band
10 years later still one of my favorites. got to present their live sessions premiere for levitation here in austin, and will be flying to europe to see them later this year. super cool.
Damn amazing.

Greats!
i looked a t a photo of them on a concert website and didnt know what they sounded like, they dress just as good as their music
Orange, blue, red and green. Are the colors of my tears of joy. Entranced and then really titalated
They close out on a majestic melody called Kristallen Den Fina, in the style of legendary swedish 60's psych band International Harvester. Total goosebumps
I adore this band almost as much as Gong, and that's saying something IMO!
Gong! Amon duul2! Goat! The continuation of the ongoing transcendental experience!
Fint att det finns några som för Träd, gräs och stenars arv vidare! Till och med Kristallen den fina på slutet!
Jag tänkte Kebnekaise...
See them in a smallish club to get the full imersive experience, absolutely 💯 amazing mind blowing, the force is very very strong here my friend ❤ 🎉
I saw this live video first, then checked out the album and had the same thought the other way around. the sound was much more vivid and the rhythms sounded much more groovy than on the album
These guys would make a great Herzog flick soundtrack!
This band is divine.
quite funky as well .
Man, they're so dope
Spettacolo strabiliante!
Power & Fantasy...
Grandi pazzoidi sciamanici!
Creatività e divertimento...

Fockin Awesome ♠
Love these guys...to the people saying sack the singers...whether or not u think they can sing, it totally suits the music . seen them in Liverpool last week. Best act on the bill by miless
Looking forward to Flow Festival! Sunday night will be great.
Was saving my whiskey…just heard let it burn. Algorithms suck! How lame am I if just discovered Goat! Beautiful! CZcams are you there? This is the shit I’ve been craving. Fuck…anyone Who reads this send suggestions please
hard to recommend anything anything from this one band alone because their influences are so far stretching 60 years of western psych, west african and chilean folk music mostly. I mean, you could check out all those individually, lot's to explore. Malian music is just great across the board, huayno is great. As for psychedelic music, Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Quicksilver etc..
modern psych don't really compare, this band really stands out imo
oh and any funk funk from Ghana or Nigeria is worth checking out
Very good team, waiting their concert in Belarus
Dope.
The bass player is god
Goat to headline 2014 Liverpool Psych Fest!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't see them here, but they were blinding at the Electric Ballroom that same week. Awesome Band!!!
I mean this in a great way, as a fan - these cats are like Slipknot for hippies :D
fuck you, it all makes a lot of sense why I like them so much now :D
Never heard of this band but opening with a Boubacar Traore cover has me instantly hooked
Peace!
¡¡¡El disco de World Music es excelente, espero qué venga a México!!!
Gothenburg Represent!!!!
god i hate missing out on an awesome bad for years!
My name is GoatMan, and I approve of this.
i cant understand what everyone is complaining about ! the vocals are fucking amazing. if you like psychedelic music then check out lrwguitar here on youtube, new music being added all the time.

TRIBAL music! Sounds perfect on tonite's Harvest Moon!
This would blow you sky high if tripping ,it would me anyway .
it does
I liek dit!!
huge
post-pandemic it's quite sad to see a Glasto crowd going through the motions and taking this for granted.
Anyone knows where can I get their lyrics? :)
super band, Geheimtipp einfach was ganz besonderes
Just heard of these guys after listening to the crime town podcast out of Providence, they use the number as their basic theme music. Was surprised to find out that they are Scandinavian! The vocals sound very South Boston punk
Hey boys and girls! Where was this excellent live please?
World Music super
@ Sam Byrant it must be extremely mild acid otherwise you wouldn't be bothered telling us you done a trip.

I fucking love your music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ESTÁ CHIDO CON VIDEO............ ¿por qué las máscaras?
I saw them at Concorde 2 in Brighton and they were off the scale good. OK the girls can't dance or sing but so what, I am 50 and I stood in the front row and danced and sang and in my head gave them a run for the money. My hipster son and his best mate said it was the best gig they had seen. Goat are fucking awesome and they go into my top 5 gigs of all time
perect wild girls, arrrrr^^
