Inspired by the television series and the feature film, S.W.A.T. stars Shemar Moore as a locally born and raised S.W.A.T. sergeant newly tasked to run a specialized tactical unit that is the last stop in law enforcement in Los Angeles. Torn between loyalty to where he was raised and allegiance to his brothers in blue, former Marine Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson has everything it takes to be an excellent leader and bridge the divide between his two worlds. Hondo's elite unit includes David "Deacon" Kay, an experienced S.W.A.T. officer who always puts the team first, despite feeling overlooked for the lead job; Jim Street, a cocky but promising new member of the group; Christina "Chris" Alonso, a skilled officer and the team's canine trainer; and Dominique Luca, an expert driver who gets them in and out of high risk situations. Overseeing the unit is Jessica Cortez, the captain of L.A. Metro who values her job above all else, including her off-the-books relations with Hondo. Hondo's team enjoys an intense rivalry with another L.A.-based unit led by Mumford, an aggressive leader who likes to do things his way. With Hondo leading the charge, these dedicated men and women bravely put themselves at risk to protect their community and save lives. This series is based on the series S.W.A.T. which was created by Robert Hamner and developed by Rick Husky. It was developed by Aaron Rahsaan Thomas and Shawn Ryan.

I like it how they are unable to hit the holes with a MP but have a 100% hit chance with the smoke grenade launcher :)
Not to mention I've never met a militia prep type who wouldn't already be wearing a mask anticipating a police raid. 😅 they had steal shooting ports and "trip lazers" this would be burned down like Waco cause the cops know they would take atleast 50% casualties.

One of the consistently silly things about cop shows is that we have to follow our heroes doing everything. How the @#$! is a half dozen man team supposed to control both front and back of a house with multiple shooters with automatic weapons inside a fortified structure with possible booby traps everywhere? You need dozens more SWAT, plus a good fifty or more officers on scene containment blocking every road and overland approaches, plus a helo, to even CONSIDER approaching that structure, and you'd be well advised to send in a robot to check for IEDs first. But nope, Hondo and the power of friendship can totally get the job done.

I love these made for TV shows. I guess these guys (in the house) would NEVER EVER expect gas. Fred will be lectured in the cell for not picking up masks at the local surplus store.
I read the comments on the smoke launchers first, thinking they'd use some r6s wall breaching grenade launchers or M32 AGL loaded with smoke. Nope, literally iron sight single shot launcher. But somehow those AR-15s had issues getting through quarter inch plywood?

Army uses acogs and we do cqb with them and in cqb you don't really need it but if you get into a long range fight its nice to have
This isn’t out of the ordinary. As the above comment said, I had an acog on my weapon for 10 years. Did plenty of cqb and never took it off.

A Smoke it’s harmful to anyone I’ve experienced one and the Swat team are called to help and Save innocent people from some crazy person, trying to take their problem out on other people i love all the action it’s a great show

So damn strong I checked out after 3 episodes. The reason being is that it’s not gritty enough.

I think you would be lucky to get a smoke cannister through the window slots stood three feet away, let alone 25 to 30 feet away. I love these documentaries, they show just how well trained these SWAT teams are. I was slightly confused because i kept wondering where Los Angeles had gone?

In real life, such a mission would most likely be handled by FBI HRT; their training and capabilities are basically identical to that of Delta Force, just tweaked for a law enforcement role rather than military.

How did they manage the shots from a smg but smoke made it through, f even during house clearing the first guy breached 2nd threw the flash too hard and me being the 3rd that damn thing landed in front of me
