If it can take 13 years for Avatar 2,3,4, & 5, it can take a few more years for Alita 2 & 3. Hollywood is fickle like that. DUNE should have bombed, as great as it was, being released years late and during the pandemic, and on streaming. But now look, Villeneuve is getting not one sequel but two. Alita will be back, Rosa Salazar ain’t going anywhere. Plus, we don’t have to worry about her aging as Alita is all CGI (with Salazar doing MoCap) anyway. Our Battle Angel will return!

Outstanding that she was able to like heal herself except it's repairing herself to robotic body for a female cyborg. I prefer to see more action from her.

Porky's is pretty damn funny, but not as consistently as Holy Grail. It's a classic.

So you missed the point where the doctor was talking about the soldier robots from mars and that her original body is of one ? Plus she already had the training and skills in her data base/brain. This character in particular didnt need a training montage.
She did get torn to shreds by Grewishka. Once she gets the berserker body she does become very powerful but not invulnerable. If sequels ever get made and they follow her story arc from the manga she will suffer deeply, physically, and more pointedly, emotionally.

In terms of the actors looking like the anime characters it was pretty good, but the obvious over use of CGI and story line not really matching the source material killed it for me, it seems they were trying to capture a much younger audience and not the older hardcore fans of the manga/anime 👎🏾😞

I'm all for suspended reality, but worn out movie tropes like this ruin it.

in defence of the film, had you actually watched it you would have known she takes the sword from another bounty hunter, has her previous body destroyed and nothing changes in her agility, she just flipped over a desk. The ending was the weaker part of the movie. All the interesting stuff had already happened, so this scene is just tying up loose ends.
