  • Watch the official "Alita vs Androids Fight in the Valley" clip for Alita: Battle Angel, an action movie starring Rosa Salazar and Christoph Waltz. Available on Digital HD July 9 and Blu-Ray July 23, 2019.
    When Alita (Rosa Salazar) awakens with no memory of who she is in a future world she does not recognize, she is taken in by Ido (Christoph Waltz), a compassionate doctor who realizes that somewhere in this abandoned cyborg shell is the heart and soul of a young woman with an extraordinary past. As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious history while her street-smart new friend Hugo (Keean Johnson) offers instead to help trigger her memories. But it is only when the deadly and corrupt forces that run the city come after Alita that she discovers a clue to her past - she has unique fighting abilities that those in power will stop at nothing to control. If she can stay out of their grasp, she could be the key to saving her friends, her family and the world she's grown to love.

    • @Bajanprince67
      @Bajanprince67 Před 5 lety +152

      Surtr Lombardé The CGI in this movie was perfectly fine. Compare this to other movies that use CGI and I guarantee it’s the best.

    • @surtrlombarde4243
      @surtrlombarde4243 Před 5 lety +5

      @@Bajanprince67 I'm gunna put this out as an example. Disney has been busting out some of the highest grade CGI. You can see different examples in the Disney remakes, the recent Star Wars, and Endgame. I threw Endgame in there specifically because it has the best CGI to date in film. Another example of great CGI is the first Captain America film where the actor of Steve Rogers is depicted as very thin. That is the best CGI I've ever seen.
      With all that said, the CGI in Endgame looks like ass half the time. The CGI in the other films I stated look bad too. It doesn't look amazing and it doesn't look realistic. Two things that CGI is supposed to do is either look realistic or look amazing. My most memorable moment of CGI was the famous T-Rex chase in the first Jurassic Park. Currently I have a weird time watching CGI movies because they are neither realistic or amazingly artistic. There are games that look better than this film for more run time, like Read Dead 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssey. I'll say that once more, the CGI in most video games is a much better quality compared to these films, especially this one. It didn't use to be, but now video game producers put more effort into their CGI than films do. I don't know how Hollywood expects to fix it.
      In short, most CGI in cinema looks bad and cheap compared to the CGI I've seen in video games. It's the same thing. It's CGI. I haven't even seen the film and I've heard people like it. I don't even like this little clip I just viewed. The CGI looks bad. Majority of the CGI in cinema looks bad. There are articles and reports of CGI in cinema looking bad. Dude, the CGI fight in Deadpool 2 looked bad.
      Lol even anime's are using CGI to cut corners in animation and it arguably looks horrible. That's just another example of CGI being used cheaply because apparently it's easier to do than drawing animation, yet looks worse.

There was nothing else in theaters I specifically wanted to see, so I took a chance on this movie and boy, am I glad I did it. Went back to watch it two more times after that. It's just the best feeling when you go in with blank expectations and the movie completely blows you away. There are things I didn't really like about the movie (like the romance was unconvincing and the plot moved at an awkward pace for my liking), but the things it did do right it completely knocked out of the park. The best part, to me, about Alita's character are the expressions she makes. Like when she's looking down into the hole and her eyes are wild and almost unhinged in their intensity. She does the same thing when Vector is talking about going after Hugo and Doc Ito, you can see from every detail in her face how she is imagining how many different ways to kill him, even letting out a little whimper of longing to rip him apart. She's a perfect character, perfectly played.
