General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS) and Flyer Defense have teamed to deliver the future of tactical mobility for mission success in remote or inaccessible terrain: the Flyer Advanced Light Strike Vehicle (ALSV). After the Flyer 60 which was unveiled in 2013, General Dynamics presents at AUSA 2014 the Flyer 72 with an extended chassis compared to the Flyer 60 version.
I understand having a lightweight, high-mobility vehicle for scouting, but covering it in machine guns seems to suggest it's intended for an intense firefight... With no armor. I'm no expert, but it doesn't make sense.
fromkentucky consider the LRDP in the Sahara of North Africa in WW2. Lightened. Jeeps and Rovers with a bazillion machine guns.
Lightening raids onto airfields shit the hell out of planes, storage depots. Scouting they could shoot their way out of most situations. If the came across a convoy the could destroy most of the vehicles, Force the next convoy to have armor escorts and even then create havoc with soft skinned truck. Then they could run away before the armor could turret around and get into the fight.
That is the concept, execution ... .

in a combat scenario where everywhere you go there is always a explosions somewhere right next to you so having windows could help protection troops from shrapnel

Carlos Santos it's not a easy target if it's fast, unless you're a good shot I don't think any Taliban will hit this thing on the move
if they shoot automatically they might hit someone but I also don't think I want to get some man's guns pointed at me at the same time
