It’s so frustrating when it seems like a major problem but it’s just a simple fix, glad you got it fixed though! I experienced something similar with my ‘05 BMW 530i recently. It was leaking fuel, so I replaced the fuel pump, lines, gaskets, etc. and even was told I needed to replace the fuel tank (which requires dropping the drivetrain on my car) but it turned out one little cap on the side of the tank wasn’t installed properly…

Make my 2012 Chrysler 300 sound like a hunk of crap, lol Before started my journey home, I checked the the oil, it was empty. Buddy offered me $ 10,000 while I was getting an oil change. He was serious, lol. I hadn’t even been in the car for an hour, ha! Seriously, what kind of mechanic does a safety check and doesn’t check the oil? Shitty one for sure. I'm going to check my air filters this morning. Lol, for it is 08, I would have never known. She will see my mechanic tomorrow morning for a good once-over.
Lol! I would be upset myself discovering the issue. But hey man. Happy you got her back in your possession. I just figured out a slight misfire issue with mine. Did plugs and all of that only to find out the fuel rail sensor was faulty and causing an o2 issue lol.
@yachtls not yet. The weather has just started getting a little better up here in Massachusetts, so I will be taking advantage of the next close to 60 degree day to fix my baby. Gotta have tge 460 running well man haha.

The squeak is an idler pulley. The sound goes away because the grease and bearings inside the pulley warm up. It’s telling you it’s time for new pulleys.
My LS460 also started doing the same exact squeak and I'm guessing it's either the belt or the waterpump. Really hoping that it's the belt because I don't have time to replace the waterpump lol. Please update me/us what ends up being the solution to the squeak. Thanks!
I'm glad you got that car back. Also, Wil you get one of the high performance versions from Lexus? There is the Lexus ISF, Lexus RCF, Lexus GSF, and the Lexus LFA.

I just bought a 2008 LS 460 and couldn’t find any performance mods but then I found “Holley Split-Design Race Intake Manifold” and was wondering if you ever heard of it?

I agree! I have to look into it a little bit further! As the weather warms up here, I have not heard any squeak for about a week🤷🏼
