My favorite Kenwood radio is my dad's TS440S/AT. Dad is a silent key now, but his radio lives on in my shack!
While I love my TS-890, I think the TS-590SG is one of my favorites. It's got all the things you need, and nothing you don't. Excellent receiver and controls layout. Easy to read display, and you can even hook an SDR up to it as a panadapter. Such a great value.
My favorite Kenwood product is my TM-D710GA. I'm ready for the TH-D75 !
I bought a TM-D710GA before they were discontinued. I got rid of it after 6 months. Most over rated radio I have ever owned.
My favorite Kenwood Radio is the d74...a quality HT..I also have a TS 870...STILL GOING STRONG.
My favourite Kenwood radio is my Kenwood TS-590S. It was my first HF radio when I got my Foundation Licence and it's still a fantastic radio.

Hi Tony and team, my favourite Kenwood is the first one I bought on becoming a licensed amateur. It’s easy to use, it has great audio and it’s a keeper. I’ve spoken to a lot of hams who have said “I used to have one of those and wish I never sold it”.
It’s the Kenwood TS 570 DG.

TR-7950 is a gem... A friend of mine did an Arduino mod to include CTCSS tones and a new display it is simply a marvel, straightforward menus, wonderful piece of engineering restomoded working wonderfully on our repeater still 40 years and keep rocking

My favourite is the TH-D74, a cracking radio which always gets excellent broadcast quality audio reports on D-Star.

This adapter allows iOS devices to work with the Kenwood TH-D74 and TH-D75 over Bluetooth. With it, you can run apps like RadioMail for emails and aprsfi for GPS positioning and messaging, leveraging the powerful built-in packet TNC in the radio.

Why didn't they upgrade the bluetooth from D74 to D75? Big miss there.
The lack of bluetooth to Apple products means I will not upgrade had they done this I would of ordered one

My dream Kenwood would be a portable shack-in-a-box, their version of the Yaesu FT-857D or Icom IC-7000.
That would be an instant buy.
What means portable shack in a box? Like smaller mobile radio?

As this radio has digital repeater functionality and with an eye on Meshtastic, is it conceivable that a hand held radio could be built such that it is part of a mesh. My thoughts are that when turned on it comes on as a mesh node. Can you see wher I am going with this. Anyway to get back to reality, I am not really a handheld radio person but this is one handheld I would be interested in buying. Thanks for the video.

I have always thought the D74 was the best. As much as I like the Icom 52 the Kenwood 74 is still my go to radio. If only it would work with Apple AirPods.
But does it do full duplex for satallite.

My one gripe for why I haven't updated to the 75 is that the plastics they used on the THD-74 do not hold up to the demands of daily work however a great HT for the Ham radio Operator

No KISS which the old model did have? No dual? Not seeing the price for this. Guess those two things is what I wanted out of it, more dstar (which in my area is dead and plenty of radios with aprs for much less. Hope it fits someone else's need.
I wonder ıf the bluetoth wıll work wıth apple aır pods and aır pod max. That would make my upgrade my D74 for sure
