  • How to fix DeLonghi Nespresso Lattissima Touch EN 520 550 560 Problems with milk for cappuccino.
    You find this problem when you press the cappuccino or hot milk button and the lights only start flashing and the milk does not come out at that point you have to replace the thermostats.

    My first delonghi (EN 520) died the same way, no milk foam. This was 2 years ago. The second ( EN 550 ) started with the same problem now 5 month ago. I bought then a fully automatic coffee maker, i was realy frustrated by the quality of this Company. But with your solution, 2 TCO´s, ( both together 10 € in Germany ) and 2 hour of working and cleaning, my EN 550 Touch offered me a delicious Latte Macchiato again. Thank you for the Video ! Grazie mille 😉

    This was a great video which helped me revive my son's Delonghi (EN 520). Our symptoms were the same as you had described and your solution was spot-on. Thank you so much for creating and posting the video. My only issues were that my circuit board connections were slightly different and I was not cautious enough to take a photo before disconnecting all the black wires. I also had some issues reconnecting the tiny spring clips which lock the hoses in place. In the end the machine now works perfectly! My only question is "how did you discover that those tiny thermostats were the cause of this problem?" Thanks again.

    Hi there,
    Hoping you can direct me.
    I live in a really soft water area, never any problems with limescale.
    I have the four button version of this in excellent condition and well looked after, but old.
    I came to use it today (it gets used every day or every other day) and managed one perfect latte. The second latte, immediately afterward, resulted in about two or three pumps of hot foamy milk followed by a sudden stuttering of the milk outlet and then the machine continued to run the foam milk cycle to the end but kept gaving me occasional bursts of hot clear water down the pipe and a couple of belches of steam.
    I've stripped the milk hopper head and it's squeaky clean anyway but now had an extra clean of every part inside it.
    Nothing has changed. The latte/cappucino lights come on at temperature and the appropriate light flashes during the course of the foam milk cycle and nothing indicates an interruption or failure, even the sounds the machine makes seem entirely normal - just a negligible jet of milk foam followed by weak bursts of hot water and steam.
    Coffee dispenses perfectly in this drink program or shot-only.
    The water tank is full.
    Can anyone give me a clue to where I should be looking for fixing this? Is there a pump to the milk frother that has started to break down?
    Appreciate the input, please.

      Good evening, unfortunately, based on what you explained to me, the machine works perfectly and the only problem is the milk glass which must be very well cleaned even inside, unfortunately I no longer have any of those machines to show you how it comes apart, I recommend you put it back on. If you have a dishwasher, completely disassemble the glass and wash it in the dishwasher. If not, try washing in the dishwasher again.
      Or another piece of advice I could give you if you don't have a dishwasher, put a tray of water at around 70-80 degrees with a light detergent such as a degreaser and put the whole glass disassembled. Then all parts of the glass soak overnight. And then try cleaning it again with cold water and reassembling it.

      @@hardwarevip5524 Thanks for your reply.
      I had a very superficial stripdown of the machine - impressed by how accessible and repairable in an almost "built like Lego" kind of way it is...
      I stripped the milk hopper head and it was nearly squeaky clean.
      So I figured the first place to start, even in my soft water area, was a descale.
      Bought a bottle of the DeLonghi treatment and followed instructions and....
      Bingo.
      Milk is back. And foamy.

    Have you seen the issue when the lights function properly but when pressing the milk frother there is not or little water coming out of the pipe?

    • @hardwarevip5524
      @hardwarevip5524  Před 3 lety +2

      if a little water comes out of you and even hot at that point it is only a limescale problem so you have to descale the machine. I advise you to use concentrate accept to do the descaling

      I have an issue with my machine. The two right buttons are flashing all the time when I attach the milk tank and do not work. When taking the milk tank they don't light or work.

    My milk buttons do not stop flashing so seems like this is the solution for my problem. And when using the purge button on the milk froth box there is little water leakage and it is not hot. I bought 1 TCO but did not realize in your video that you replaced 2 of the thermostats. Is one for the espresso hot water and the other one is for the milk? Is it possible for me to fix this with only having 1 TCO?
    At 4:23 there is 1 on left with blue wire and 1 on right with red wire. Are they both for milk or maybe I can just replace 1 only - and if so which one?
    I do not have a multimeter and not sure how to use, I could buy one but they are expensive.

    • @hardwarevip5524
      @hardwarevip5524  Před 2 lety +1

      unfortunately very likely I should change both and if you don't have a multimeter to measure you have to look good if the tin has not come out of the thermostat So by eye otherwise I would not know how to help you but in any case it is better to change both if possible

    I have the problem that there is almost no foam from the milk. I don't know if the milk is at fault or the frother is clogged somehow.
