@@krissantos8178KS back in the game! (~);}
The cadence of this show is just a bit slower, and a bit more mesmerizing. You can clearly hear the interactions of the band with clarity, and depth. This show must have been a mind blower in the day as it is now. Lovin' the Good Music!! Love from Canada ❤️🇨🇦🥶🌨️🎶🎵🎼🎸🥁👍Northern Alberta! We are Everywhere!⚡🤯🤔😜
East Coast , Bouncin in the Bus !
I have to cry because they sound so good!!
I was born on this fine day! 🎂🌹❤️
I was at this show. Some good Jamaican had just hit town. Really good time.

As fine a version of Friend of the Devil as you'll ever hear. Jerry's singing and solo are absolutely beautiful!
Oh god best best ramble on , roses, and scarlet ever. All the flowers did so well there
i could tell by the way that she talked , that she was into the blues . . ..
Yes Jane seamore
A Grateful Dead, 'garden of delight '. Love those tunes! 😎👍🌷🌻⚘
Well said. Everyone.
Saw this show and loved it. Was up front and ccan still see them in my mind with the twirlers and the dancers.
Spring 78 was a great run. They took the songs new places even if you don’t notice it at first. Sometimes they are all playing something completely different but the song still comes through.
Thank you for uploading as much as you do, I know many of us deeply appreciate it!
Especially a daves picks, vol 7!
Ain't that a fact?! St.'77 Cause I sure feel blessed.
This was such a beautiful show man it brought me to tears.. Donna was so good on Cassidy I am speechless.. I miss this era of the band so much I love them all so much. Peace out
The bearded Dead era. All the boys didn’t shave. 🎉
I was at this show and the dead did not disappoint
It's just amazing how these recordings connect us in a community. So grateful to the seventyseven for posting these.
A neglected gem. One of my favorite Scarlets ever.
Sound mix, stereo separation and Jerry's voice are as good as I've ever heard. The songs chug along "like a Willys in 4WD..."
Werewolves was one of my bucket list tunes i never did see. Typical great late 70's show
The Dead had an astounding ability to entertain us. Whether they played thirty songs over four hours. Or twenty songs in under three hours. They brought the circus to town. And whether they were on their game on any given night, or not, didn't really matter. They were our team, our family, and we were going to root for them. We were dedicated. And love doesn't criticize. Someone once told me not to mourn the passing of those I loved. But only to be grateful that I had known them while they lived. RIP.
Jerry is God. LSD saves.

Right on, brother thats beautiful. Lsd certainly saved me. Literally a Molecular Messiah. I had a dream with my mother who is deceased and in it I was filling her in about everything that had happened in my life since she died. When I was done talking she just smiled and said I know I Am always with you :) no need to mourn the dead, they live inside us, and have always been with us and a part of us
@@MysticMonkeyMiracle beautiful words. ❤️
I like everything you said here . cept that last line . Jerry was cool and musically a King , but god not so sure . As a person near 60 , lsd saves , hmm , The school of lsd is helpful ,but not for everyone . And you know what the say , u cant stay in school your whole life . Some refresher courses now n then might not hurt tho ! Keep on Truckin .
@@peterbetts858 if lsd saves one person than it still saves 🤷🏻♂️ but for me and quite a few of my friends lsd definitely saves, and heals us on a consistent, and regular basis. Also lsd is used subjectively based off of the unique needs of each individual. Of course it's not for everyone. The only thing I can think of that is for everyone outside of like water, and air is Love ya know? Love is boundless, borderless, limitless, and eternally abundant. 🙏🏼🕉 may we all grow to a deeper, more whole Oneness With Love within our Hearts and Souls. And if lsd helps with that right on 😎
@@franksantorelli4196 thank you, my friend I appreciate that very much :)
There is nothing like a Grateful Dead show!!!
Amen brothers and sisters
betty ......... brilliant
Ramble on Rose, just gives me the chills!!!!😊
Anybody ever miracled you a show as you were at a show?
This was it for me. Sitting on the tailgate before the show circa '89? listening to a Hampton one. As i'm looking down the lot, someone kind sets this down beside me slyly. When i discovered it they were gone. It says i hope you enjoy this miracle right on it, and i still got it in rotation to this day! Thank you out there ;)
That’s amazing. Yeah I was miracles like that not expecting it and someone gave me a ticket. How kind. Really. We are a kind tribe ♥️
Yeah, "kinda". At the All Saints Day show in Richmond in 1985. About two hundred people got in for free. It was a miracle. 🌈 But too complicated to easily explain. Miracles happen, and at Dead shows they were the rule, not the exception.🔔 "Just a box of rain, or a ribbon for your hair. Such a long, long time, to be gone. And a short time to be there." 🍄
One of the best shows ive heard. Absolutely on fire. Especially the drummers . Thanks so much ❤
My first show was May78 in Philly. Its funny but I can't remember any of it.
Thanks for this gem... Peace
A stunning Scarlet/Fire! 1978 was a good winter/spring for that one.
I've no idea how it's done but that this music sounds so damn good 42 years later is a priceless gift. Thanks man.
It's Dead magic. Anytime I hear Werewolves of London my mind goes to my happy place. Throw the Dead in and it is magic! Peace.
wow
that Fire Mountain was a little lite
West Virginia show from this time is also a gem. May 1977 and April 1978 my favorites.
yessir!
Transition from Uncle to River one of the best Bob third song cowboy slot
God bless your beautiful soul Betty for giving us the opportunity to hear such a mind-blowing show. If I were able to go on a time machineon that's the evening I'd go for.
I love how they keep adding the "Stayin Alive" licks during the solo, i die every time i hear it now
WOW! Really solid show! I love the multiple "Staying Alive" teases. Many highlights. Sweet FOTD.
Gorgeously played. Flawless, melodic, suspenseful, perfectly played by everyone, so interactive and sensitive. Never fails to elicit chills
This is going to be Phenomenal !!! Thank you as Always will leave a real comment after I listen. ✌️❤️🎶
I was at this show and remember the werewolves of London! South of Chicago great college venue love me some Windy City Dead! Thank you
Everybody was howling leaving the show
You luck family dog. Wish I had been there. Seeing "WereWolves of London" in Chicago. Would have had me howling at the Moon till the morning sun. And everywhere we went, and everyone we met, was family. Even if we had never met before we all knew each other. I never had such a good time in my life before. Buddha Bless you brothers and sisters. Like a spiritual experience we all need. Brought to us through a unique, rare, and different tune. A Celestial Choir.

They did play Black Peter and Werewolves love this show and I was there, man
This Terrapin has always been my favorite 👍👍
That Scarlet Fire jam/transition IS 🔥. Very cool slide work. Not always a fan of that but works NICELY here.
Yeah Bobby Hella caught me off guard with that it was soooo good man
the rhythm work from weir on the scarlet/fire changed my life.
obviously Garcia, lesh, rest of the band shining....man what a zen pleasure the gd are
Music Never Stopped is also hot stuff
I got to say 70’s Dead in Illinois was magical
I know Jerry had a girlfriend here Manasha who eventually had a child with him but overall us fans made them come back and play their asses off!
Just found your channel. Thank you Thank you Thank you……
Yea this was a year or so after my first show , y’all are my family who saved me and kept me since…

Love this cover Art. Thank you for the upload '77!
Thanks 77 for posting this classic
Okay, this one goes into the Dead top 10 shows!
54 years and I still love them with all my heart!!!
The transition from Not Fade Away into Black Peter is worth the price of admission.. Black Peter is the highlight of this show 👍
That little Stayin alive tease at the beginning of big river...
Top 3 1978 show.
Thank you for posting this particular show, which has always been a favorite of mine. Your channel always delivers Dead recordings which are heads and tails above those of your YT competitors.
The Music Never Stopped from this show is INSANE!!!! It has been my favorite version for a long time. If nothing else, check out this version of Music Never Stopped 57:47 the energy is unreal. With all the "that's right's" and "I need somebody to help me now". You can tell they are feeling it. Then, THEN comes the jam after the lyrics...just you wait :)
Another of my mid-west late 70s shows. Dead played a lot of colleges back then, Normal, Carbondale, Loyola, etc.
Northwestern played 74 Jerry in 76
Thanks Seventyseven77 I’m loving the paradigm shifting to the warm uploads! Keep it coming, We Need A Miracle Everyday!
The last Jerry Solo of FIre on the Mountain is killer...an all-time favorite of mine.
Thank you for sharing this show
Such great music - thank you
YES!!! This is the show I used to "learn" how to play Scarlet&Fire on the guitar from back in the 90's. I love this version! Thank You so much!! (I put "learn" in quotes since I'm terrible at the guitar. I just have fun with it for myself...)
Thanks for posting this show! I love it!
thank you very much!
Thank you for this on CZcams. One of my favorite shows. ❤️

Good Lord !!! .. this music never stops !
That was awesome '77, Mahalo
I love this version of fire on the mountain
Oh man, did they see Saturday Night Fever the night before or something? Starting with a Stayin' Alive Tease, then Keith and others kept it going brilliantly throughout Me and My Uncle, and I think Phil even kicked in a bit at the start of Big River. What a start to a show!
In attendance for this show
Was there
Nice set..and sound quality.thanks.
Wish I was at this one.
Gets the magic as it goes on.
smokin' Music Never Stopped. nice!!
The music never stopped is like WHAT THE FUCK!!! jamming!!!
Grateful upload haven't listened to a complete show for a few well a number of years thank you this is such a wonderful set list and the person who provided the knowledge of staying alive I didn't even know but I did hear it the difference of like I don't know if it was a Segway a bridge or a transition I thought they were going in like Shakedown or dancing in the streets but that would have been too early in the set so yeah always surprising just and again the sound quality this has got to be a soundboard you know they got three dimensionality they were like Billy and Mickey were like banging on the Bongos and I thought someone was banging on my camper Rastafari Tucson Arizona Sonoran Desert and some band from Vermont
Terrapin Station into D/S WRhythm Devil's. Love it!!
The 77 n K Santos My name is Black Peter . . . er .. wait ,no just Peter . . and as a person living with a Head full of Dead , i would like to Thank You for Servicing us the patrons . I will provide each of U with a Beer if i can find u on the lot . East coast Canada .

Too bad there wasnt a vacine back then , for Disco . other than the Dead n Blac Sabbath . n the Who .
Our music is what it is today due to its evolution.
@@peterbetts858 homie how much dose you on? Never seen someone type like that in my entire life lol
Betty Board spring 78. 😃
I don't have favorites , but i can hear a spectrum, every now and then you hear a version
And you think yea, that's both ends at the same time, utter clarity to those that know its a jam and also hard to convince someone else that it isn't a carefully planned constructed written masterpiece,. if they believed that at first
Scarlet begonias
just like crazy alto!

I worked security for this show and was stationed stage right directly in front of the house speakers. Had never heard of the Greatful Dead and as a musician myself, was not impressed with the obvious rambling, jam quality of the whole genre. Never really became a fan per se, but I remember the concert very well as I may have been the only sober person there. I remember a suit backstage with a briefcase handcuffed to his wrist. I assumed it was the backstage drug supply or the gig cash at the very least. There was a row of chairs just behind the FOH speakers where locally selected groupies were allowed to sit for the show's entirety. I knew one of those girls intimately pretty well myself and she didn't have any band connection at all before that night.
what can i say? ⚡killer show⚡ start to finish🙏🏼✨✨✨
