- Learning to Walk! Luke amazes us and takes some first steps with his baby walker. Christopher shares the contents of our weekly farm box and discusses our use of baby sign language a bit. Parker loses a tooth and we talk a little more about the new member of our household -- Faith! All of our videos are closed captioned and always family friendly.

If you put rubber bands on the wheels it will help with traction so he doesn't fall immediately after pushing the lil walker thing.
It worked with my cousins, it might work for y'all ❤️
Yes! And if you look in an office supply place (or Amazon), you can find the wider rubber bands that will cover a good bit of the width of the wheel of the walker. They come in very handy for those types of toys and are actually harder to remove than smaller rubber bands for curious hands. ❣️
Supervise him extra closely if you use this method.
Yeah, that's sounds like a great idea, but when we tried to do that on our carpet it didn't work aswell as it did on hardwood

So I am pregnant and the app I am using says the baby is the size of a baby boc choy!! So random but, I like that you held it up to your head so I could tell how big my baby is now!

So many milestones! Let's recap: Bailey became a teenager, Jacob cooked a full course [taco] meal, Parker lost his baby tooth, Duncan learning how to read, and Luke learning how to walk!!
And ALL of that happened within the past couple of weeks! They really need to stop growing up so fast!! Haha
Blink and next thing you know, Jacob and Bailey will both be high school aged, Parker will be in double digits, Duncan will lose a tooth in front of the camera and Luke will be running around like a little bundle of energy.

The audible “AHHH” when I got the notification with this title actual startled my boyfriend. So proud of little Luke’s progress in life already, but dang stop growing up so fast 🥺 Luke is the first of the kids that I’m watching grow up in real time!

It’s crazy how fast they grow up. I’ve watched Parker grow up from a very young age, Duncan since he was born and now Luke. Time flies!

Luke’s development is so surprising and unexpected; you must be so proud ❤️
I suspect that Luke will continually surprise us with his accomplishments. I think his microdeletion will become a micro-moment in his life. I think with all the attention from siblings he will always have the desire to keep up with them and will, in the end, amaze us all. He is such a happy, content little boy and will be running before too long. Good luck keeping up!
Just in case you didn’t see, those walker toys have a “slower” and a “faster” setting on the wheels (usually) :)
It’s crazy how he’s already doing that and they suspect that walking wouldn’t happen till he was closer to 2!! That’s awesome!

I don’t think the babysitter situation is weird. Growing up, my cousins had a babysitter that had her own room in their (my aunts) home.
The babysitter had a good majority of her stuff there so that when my aunt was working late she had somewhere to sleep and spend the night if needed.
After a while the babysitter became like family to us, we all loved her.❤️

Won't lie when I watched the video of Luke taking his first steps, I got a little emotional. Just knowing Luke's story and seeing where he is now is incredible. You're doing such a fantastic job to make sure he can have the best possible life.

Ive seen that you can wrap rubber bands around the wheels of walker toys to add more traction and to slow it down a little. Im so happy to see lukeys progress!! Amazing

"more", "thank you" in sign language were our kids' Firsts too. then the same as you.."Please" and "thank you". then "milk", "water", "mama", "dada", and "HELP, please" was another huge one. really helped alleviate the frustrations of the "terrible toddler"(other words, or course were added ..."toilet" being another big one later on..hahaha) ;) wishing your family the best in the new year

I'm so excited for vlogmas and advant and christmas with you guys! I mean... Strawberry wild strawberry! :D Also.. Yesterday I watched you New Years Eve vlog back and Chris says something like: "We are still in 2019 if you see this, how is 2020? We hope it will be cool." It is so bizarre to watch that back right now, knowing what 2020 would be like.

My son is 2 1/2 and is autistic. He is non verbal and we have been working on signing with him. He signs “more” very rarely (he’s not a fan of singing). It’s so good that Luke can sign and communicate with you guys!

Not a mom but I’ve heard putting a few rubber bands on the wheels of the little walkers makes it so they can still push without it rolling away from them. I have no idea if this actually works but figured I’d pass it along in hopes it does! I’m so excited to see him hit such huge milestones! 💜

We have the same walker and you can lock the back wheels so they stay still. The walker can still be pushed but it’s not so fast and way sturdier!

I work at a special education school and it's been really hard doing ot, st, and pt over video chat. The kids aren't as interested in doing them without the person being there. I'm glad it's been easy on you guys.
