Seahorse Bells is the fifth studio album from Australian Solo Acoustic Guitarist Alan Gogoll. Each of the five original compositions showcases Alan's original 'Bell Harmonics' technique and guitar tunings that have become his signature sound and featuring for the first time his signature Paul Mineur guitar.

I think all people that fall in love with guitar and play end at fingerstyle. I am attempting to figure these damn harmonics out. It's not artificial. Your touch is unparalleled in guitar. Kudos and I am a big fan.
Gotta love the internet, just typed 'harmonics song' in youtube and boom, find an amazing musician with an ep centered around harmonics. This song is fantastic.
It's been four years, ha! I still can't figure out for the life of me how you do that harmonic technique and I've been trying.
It looks like you're doing an artificial harmonic but like... backwards. Are you pressing down with your right hand and hitting the harmonic with your left? This still just blows my mind, dude.
I've been trying to learn the technique as well and I think what he does is Artificial Harmonics with his right hand (index and pluck with ring finger or pinky) AND left hand (ring finger to hold harmonics, index to pluck). Even knowing this at the theoretical level, this is still extremely difficult to pull off. Especially at the same level of clarity as Alan Gogoll., really a wonderful song to show his mastery of the instrument!
@@kyoyamagata5057 the secret is there’s no artificial harmonics at all. They’re all natural ones played by holding your finger down as if you’re playing a harmonic with your right hand middle finger and plucking with your ring. The way he gets that cascade down of harmonics is adding that first part to left hand pizz harmonics where you hold the harmonic and pluck with your left index finger👍

edit: btw this song reminded me for some reason of math rock like This Town needs Guns - Chinchilla. They use a very weird tuning that gives them a high pitch and cool sound
