Why do so many Koreans artificially darken their voices? It’s like they’re afraid their voice isn’t big enough but it’s not about how big and dark. Brighter baritones exist like battistini and gobbi. What? Warren and Bastianini darkened their voice just as much as he does here. He is not ingolato at all. Darkening like this is not wrong technique, it's just that more lyric voices exhaust themselves if they try to sustain that sound and need to use more head voice.
