Mai: cooks well
Aluminum: *i will end this woman's whole career*
Underrated
Very underrated
Extremely underrated
Super underrated
Abnormally underrated
Imagine Claudio took a bite from a different part of the cake and not find the aluminum in there
Mai should've turned her plate 180' so Claudio would take a bite without aluminum. That turn would change the spots.
So bias
Hazelich i mean she didn’t know where the aluminium was but oh well
Exaaaactly
Same thoughts
The whole time Thea is thinking "should I start crying or am I safe?"
Mais prolly like “one tear from this blonde chick is gonna send me hope anyway’
Omg when mai said “I knew it” it broke my heart 💔
Honestly, if i paid good money for a dessert and it tasted great but i found foil in it,,, i would just take the foil out and continue to enjoy my dessert with that generous amount of candy floss
Yeah, but others might wonder that if you found one piece of foil in your food. Is there any other foil in it? And where is it?
That's why Mai's dish unfortunately fell short. It's a tiny mistake but a costly one. In a restaurant that kind of mistake can't be tolerated.
You can forgive candyfloss being a little wet and shrinking because you can still eat it.
Same, unless I paid like 50 dollars for it.
Same
Fr
That is a hygiene issue. That's a no-no in our restaurant. You will be fired immediately.
If that little piece of aluminum wasn't in Mai's dish, I'm sure that she would've won.
Idk....
She would not
Teddy Bear i dont think so
Poor girl....
Teddy Bear u voted for her cause both of u are Asian as hell(Jk)That was offensive :)
SPOILER If I'm being honest I think that if Mai didn’t have the thing in her dessert she would’ve won the whole competition. I still think she should’ve beat Thea
This is what they call fate...
Jesse Miles SMD
Nope Thea was gonna win if that happens again
@@salmighazali917 It's not about fate, but precision. If this mistake took place outside the competition, in an actual restaurant, she can be sued.
Nope.
I’m honestly just impressed their makeup stayed on so flawlessly after running around and cooking, as well as all that stress
This video is a lesson in life:
One small mistake could make you lose everything
Yea.... I also think we need better health education to prevent teen pregnancy and the importance of condoms
"You're either really lucky or crazy"
Thea: "Yes"
Mankind's very small proportion will understand this comment..
and I'm glad I did🤣
@@shreeyaprasoon1368 ..?
Thea got so lucky throughout the competition. She cried to beat Aaron, who could have easily beat Trevor in the finale.
" I scratched and clawed my way through the competition " more like cried. I completely agree. She pitied herself to the top in my opinion.
As they say " you're only as good as your last dish" but I do think she got lucky throughout the competition. I'm glad trevor won he deserved it
Well she’s a white blonde girl so.....
@@briw8562 woah woah, no need to bring race into it
yeah it wasn't really impressive :(
Props to Mai for not crying on the spot, if it were Thea she would've started bawling immediately
How is is that the judges always take the bite from that one spot that has the biggest mistake in it
RNG lol
Or consider how many times somebody was lucky to pass because the judges took a bite from a good spot, or at least didn't take from the bad spot
Scripts
I wonder that too man😂🖐🏼there was that whole muffin and he had to take that exact bite🤷🏻♀️
Is a tv show tho, so you never know
Mai deserved it more.
Ikr
She had foil in the sponge.
@@DextersLab99 by accident
Whiskered Shrimp well a competition is a competition, a mistake is a mistake. The result is based on their work not their skills
Nightingale 120 I know that 🙄I’m just saying that I wished Mai didn’t have that cuz she would’ve beaten Thea
I was heart broken when judges announced that winner is THEA and MIA said: I knew it
with tears in her eyes
Mai deserved it 100% more. Thea cried herself to the finale. Glad she lost in the finale tho.
🙄
Don't have to be so mean
•Rαven Plαyz• truth can be harsh
@@zachg9746 but I hate how Thea defeated Barrie, I was hoping to see the father and son fight each other in the finale
@@salmighazali917 Barrie lost. The top 2 are Trevor and Thea. Trevor won the finale.
mai literally kept going even though she made mistakes, she deserves it so much more.
I Guess u could say Mai foiled the competition lmao
That pun hurt
That pun is a solid tin
I had to mine deep into the comments to find this.
XD 😂
Its funny but its sad she didnt win this made me laugh after I was very sad that Mai didnt win 😞☹️
Why did he have to bite into the piece with Aluminum!😭
Ikr like it was planned!!
Wow! Piece of aluminum?! Damn, bad luck!
yeah i mean the judges did not eat the whole thing so it was really bad luck that teh judge happen to bite on that side😅
Yeah. Thea stole her luck for the whole competition :( I always wanted mai and Aaron to stick around
It may be staged
When Mai said "I knew it" I felt that
Ok ok we all know that the aluminium was paid to ruin Mai’s dish
OMG YESSS
But also the cupcake molds she over fill a chef should know how much to fill the mold just saying
🤣💛🤣
@@twicesaidiamaonce5003 at that time of the competition they were homecooks not "chefs"
when mai said “ i knew it “ i wanted to cry i feel so bad for her :(
1 centimeter of aluminum to lose the whole entire competition
I feel so sorry for american masterchef contestant after watching this
& to think failing a test or losing a basic board game hurt my feelings ugh hopefully thet gain all that hope & things back bc ik its hard.
had I been in May's shoes when he showed the alluminum, I would've faded out instantly
Chef Alvin just knows what to say to cheer them up...
Myb the chef had the aluminium in his mouth
🤣🤣🤣
HAHAHAHAHA
he got a small piece stuck in the back of his tooth from a wrapper of gum and the dessert lodged it out lol
Even do there was aluminum in Mai’s dish i still think that she should have won, because she had the presentation and the flavours right.
I still don't understand how he found the aluminium piece..like he took a bite nd the bite only had this piece nd he could taste it also like what type of bad luck is this?
Have you ever bitten on aluminium? You will definitely feel It when you bite on it.
That wasn't a bad luck, that's a mistake. There's alooooooooooot of even worse thing that could've happen to you compared to that.
It’s not the taste it’s the hard feeling in your mouth
After reading all comments about Thea crying because of that she ended up in finale. I watched all episodes of MasterChef. I expected according to the comments Thea will cry every episode but she only cried a little in 7th and 8th episode.
Mai also cried twice before getting eliminated and when she was in bottom 2 with Alice.
Miranda also cried once after getting bad critiques from judges and she got eliminated that time in episode 9th.
It wasn't just Thea who cried. Idk why people are soo obssesed with her she almost faced all elimination rounds and proved that she deserves to be here even Trevor himself agreed Thea's flavours are really good better than him. Even in this episode judges liked every component of Thea's dish whereas Mai made 2 mistakes overfilling cupcake and piece of aluminium even a little mistake is enough it is top 3 after all. Thea deserves to be in Top 2 because she is a great chef she proved she can cook well and defeated people to be in Top 2.
Thea is a great chef and I am proud of her for facing soo many elimination rounds and still did well ended up in top 2
People always need a scapegoat, it's just how things are. You may do everything right but there would be the keyboard warriors who feel it's their job to make you feel small and ungrateful
right??? people r insane
Mai definitely would’ve won if that aluminum wasn’t in there
Think about it, if Mai had flipped her plate the other way, Claudio wouldn’t have eaten the aluminum, and wouldn’t have been eliminated.
Am I the only one that noticed, whenever Thea's dish is praised she smiled widely and when the dish is suddenly criticized her smile disappears quickly?
Netflix Share no one wanted to smile while being criticized😂 if im on her place I would be very troubled that I did something not so good
I know right? what a weirdo. Smiling when you get praised but not when youre critiqued, who does that?! Oh wait...
Netflix Share of course she will 😂 I mean do you want her to smile when someone tells her that her food is bad? 😂😂
She looked surprised most of the time to me.
Over all mai should have won because she had a better balance with her flavors like come on man
The foil is a sort of mistake no one should make (remember, most Masterchef winners go on to open restaurants), and you will get fired, or sued.
Jinlu Qian like u said most master chef winners open restaurants so the food will be the center of attention in addition to that people don’t have foil in everyone of their dishes it’s like a one time mistake.
@@tiffani1770 If it happened once, it can happen again. That's the reason Mai lost. If Mai didn't have that foil in there, she would have won.
Jinlu Qian I do agree with your counter agreement but it could happen but very unlikely
@@tiffani1770 Look at it this way. Would you rather a driver who has crashed once already, or a driver with a clean record? The former makes you more worried, it's psychological.
Both Thea and Mai are amazing. They have improved a lot in the competition and they are both winners to me. ❤️
Such strong competitors compared to MasterChef US. Love Canada's version! 😊
I love Us version more cause fighting and rival Canada is also nice ah amazing :) but expect Canada doesn't have Gordon Ramsay hahahaha 🤭🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@Barnes466 hahahaha same
Christine ha isn't a strong competitor i guess, got it.
Finally some positive vibes
Finally a positive comment about Thea
The fact that if Mai used a different sponge in the mould she would have gotten through!
Omg claudio was like actually very sad after finding the foil 😂😂😂 that face drop!
“You’re either really lucky or you’re crazy”
Thea looking crazy :” *Yes* “
4:40 Alvin is not that bad of a judge. Him and chef Michael were the only judges with pure heart in this competition
Why not chef Claudio?
If that was Gordon Ramsey who found the Aluminum.... oh boy...
JC Forever poor mai
JC Forever or Joe Bastianich...
I dont understand why people act like Gordon is the scariest judge/chef out there.. not really lmao maybe in 2009
@@lukebingus9432 man his insults are soooo frightening and joe? he is an insult beast.
I would've just kept quiet about the aluminum. Thea deserved to lose way more than Mai did.
3:26 the way how Claudio’s head just stops and his eyes just keep moving like he’s trying to figure out the the aluminum foil is pretty cool.
It’s almost 1pm, I haven’t had breakfast yet and I’m watching this. You know how I feel
Omg thank god there's a part 2
30 seconds left: a snack
1 second left:a whole feast
When Thea hugged Mai in the end, that was truly Canadian...
It really hurt me inside when mai said "i knew it" 😥😥😥
Mai should've won. That's all I have to say.
There are professional chefs who actually tasted the food, unlike you, thou didn't.
@@spotlightsnatcher3173 ok and?
@@coffeeaddictedflick7100 That piece of aluminum can be a hard hitter for a professional judge/chef to inspect it. They trained to be a professional, and with little mistake like that aluminum foil, or anything unedible inside your food can really hit hard.
She was way more consistent than trevor, same win less bottom
@@subliminal5543 yea I agree but this show isn't really about consistency or being the best chef, like sometimes the "losers" can end up in amazing places because they are phenomenal and talented chefs. A huge portion of winning comes down to luck, like here just one small mistake, being caught in that one specific bite Chef Claudio took got Mai eliminated even tho her dish otherwise was better.
A piece of aluminum can never difine your dish
But it can define you still being capable of rookie mistakes in likely the biggest competition of her life. Think of it from the practical side. Had she made that mistake serving that complex and expensive dish at some high end restaurant to a customer, it would be a massive deal, versus sponge cake being slightly too sweet.
The more I watch the Canadian version, the more I want to move to Canada.
1:00 everyones reaction to the exam results.
I know everyone says Mai deserved it more, but in my opinion, I think Thea Deserved it. She most of the steps correctly and the general overall feel of the dish seemed to work out more than Mai. Mai lost some of her pineapple when she overfilled her mold, and I do think it matters to bake it in because I'm sure it adds flavor to the cake. Just my opinion.
Yess if u search the episodes in internet, it is said that judges like Thea's dish more than Mai. It is just that an aluminum is there and it has no factor in Mai's elimination
Mai deserves it!
Lets be honest, They’re both good cooks, who had to make the desert in quite a small amount of time, not even getting any preparation. Given the adequate time, they both would have surely made a fantastic desert.
Everyone was so nice.... Don't know if I want to head back to MasterChef US lol
This is why it's Canadian
THANK YOU CHEF
Mai should have won
Henry CyDo no
Christopher Thomas Mc Partlin fking racist

These chefs are way too humble especially they are generously praising unlike some of those who are ready to slit the contestant's throat.
Wow...that 60 minutes was really intense
I lost it when Barrie got eliminated but i got elated when it was won by Trevor...
Mai gets angry at aluminum
Aluminium: what? I just wanted a little bath in sponge cake batter
2:27 me when the chef found aluminium in the food
This show is addicting to me now
4:27 omg that crunch
5:15
Thea: I worked so hard to be here.
Me: didn't you cry hard to be here?
When you cry your way to the finals
Mai: I don't want this to be the last time I cook in MasterChef kitchen.
Masterchef season 7: Say no more
At around 6:21 you can hear Mai say "I knew it". I feel soo bad for her, she should have won.
this is more sad than happy, both are really talented chefs and deserved to be in top 3
taxmuppett
Then it wouldn’t be a Top 3.
"I fought and crawled my way to the top." More like balled your eyes out for every pressure test to the top.
2:31 you just see him skrrt skrrt off and come back again
Two beautiful ladies
I loooove the voice of the judge with blue suit
"How do you even make that decision!?" Lmao 🤣
that was a great but in the end i hope Barrie wins!
Mai never cried for her spots. I like her better. They’re both very good tjo
I still love you Mai!!!
aluminium: watch me destroy this girl hopes
lol i love how chefs critique them and tell that certain fruit is delicious. instead of saying that the use of that fruit is impressive, they praise the fruits. like go and eat a pineapple if it's that delicious to you lol
Lol dude they says 'that pineapple' tastes delicious meaning the way she done it tastes good. . Smh
They said the pineapple was nice and golden brown... meaning she cooked it well.
revisiting my comment after a year, kinda cringe not gonna lie
The important thing is that they all respect the heart of cards!
Thea is so sweet humble n talented
This was a game of luck between thea and mai. Both are brilliant
1:31 don’t forget while *Never* making the desert as well.
I had to laugh a bit when he said let's make it rain
Thankyou chef
Mai cooks amazingly
Aluminium foil: heh just wanted some fun
I don’t care what anybody say, Mai is still the winner in my books.
SIR MEOWS A LOT Lol, I’m glad that Thea won over Mai. Mai should go home and cook some dog to her dish
