Wow reading the comments below a LOT of people are totally clueless about Heather's history and reputation behind the scenes. This is FAR from the only bad story about Heather and no...she absolutely does NOT have an amazing reputation lol. Do your research people.
I’m starting to gather that she’s not the nicest, I thought she was so cool & down to earth until recently. What else has been said bad about her, I haven’t heard much
This would be like a local punk band opening for Metallica, claiming they were the reason the show was sold out. This wasn’t the Davi Experience. Davi didn’t once try to view it from heathers perspective. The only thing I hear is Heather explaining how she realizes she took it out on you and felt bad but all Davi keeps doing is calling heather the devil and being really nasty in public. Heather wanted to apologize the second night, but Davi wouldn’t have it. Had I been heather, when Davi refused to speak before the 2nd show I would have pulled her set all together. Now, when a comedian lets Davi open for her they have to fear that she will bash their act and 20+ year career on the second night and on the Bert show etc.
Ok for started Heather is making false claims and Davi is correcting her. And why should Davi have to see it from her perspective? Davi was not the one in the wrong. A veteran performer would have taken up all issues with the venue who messed up. Not on the other performer 10 mins before the show. As well once u show up to work, then that should be ur only focus. I can see trying to fix things the next night, but she didnt do that. Heather didnt hire Davi and the contracts were signed. Time to suck it up and deal
As someone who has worked in the comedy industry for 11 years and has booked hundreds of gigs, both mixed bills and solo shows, I can tell you that the venue should never have a; booked support to run for half an hour for a show of this type, and b; then booking ANOTHER support act is plain nuts. The whole booking process smacks of inexperience. Reading between the lines it appears that Heather probably was unpleasant about it to Davi, and isn't going to cop to that. But Davi going over her alloted time by 7 minutes is unprofessional and this whole scenario will be noted by bookers. Sometimes you just need to shut up and get your head down, it's a very small people industry and how you handle conflict gets gossiped about.
I book all sorts of Talent from local bands to Bill Burr. I've written hundreds of contracts. The Winery has a shit reputation. Davi clearly has a friend willing to illegally screw talent contracts for this rude girl. Davi had 0 business doing ANYTHING on Heathers stage. Davi even admitted she pays her opener. Thats how that works. You pay the headliner who pays their opener. Sometimes the venue will split the check depending on the CONTRACT. This is why Heathers podcast crushes this show and why NO ONE KNOWS WHO DAVI IS STILL.

@@lynnetteturner exactly. Davi crashed Heathers show because the Winery gave her a hook up. This shit happens all the time but usually its a venue getting a local sponsor for a show they book. Some acts refuse, others understand because most theaters are non profits and need the money. But adding talent to a show is REALLY rare unless having a local warm up/opener is in the contract. In that case the Winery pays Davi, in 95% of cases the headlining Talent books their own opener and pays them themselves unless specified in the contract which would deduct the openers pay from the total profits owed to the main act and youd write them sparate checks. Again its in the contract which Heather had no issue referring to and Davi refused to acknowledge because she knew she crashed and broke the contract. Heather has headlined tour, opened for major comics. She has seen everything that happens with theater at this point from contract violations, to broken lights, AC, mics, speakers, etc. And clubs are even sketchier. If she was this thrown by the situation that means something really messed up was going on.
Heather McDonald is a professional. It was her show and as she is the headliner, it's important to respect her requests. It's clear from her story that the issue was communication between acts via the venue. Not her problem. She wasn't doing a traditional set, she was doing something for her fans (which includes Juicy Scoop and Standup). She also said she didn't know there was another Green Room and actually wondered where the other act was, as she'd expected to meet Davi. Her "deal" isn't Barbie reenactments. It's a silly, fun thing she does occasionally but not ALL she does. Don't be reductive when it comes to her work. She's a veteran comedian with a history of being supportive of other comedians and uses her platform to help male and female comedians gain exposure. She regularly encourages her supporters to like and follow others. I also can NOT imagine Heather saying "being dirty is her thing". She's not even that dirty... She had 1.5 hours planned for a specific type of show and any other person billed cuts into that time. It's simple. Now, I'm sure the confusion was rattling and left Davi feeling unprepared. It's clear you're (Davi) upset and that's a shame. These moments are great for learning and growing for everyone. It's clear the venue hadn't quite communicated everything to the performers that night. It's too bad you couldn't sort this out with Heather and try to make it work to create a mutual respect and allow for future opportunities. The way you've addressed this in such a public way is a real bummer. Lastly, Heather has spoken very highly about the Winery and seems to (even with this hiccup) enjoy doing business with them.
So I did a little research because I really felt badly for Davi & I found an August 2022 article on how she was fired from The Bert Show. Bert said that it was because of how toxic she was off air. That she couldn’t get along with anyone on the show & that they had tried for a while to get along with her but it was just bad.

She has a friend who hooked it up. Notice how Heather brought up her contract in the confrontation video and Davi DID NOT. Davi doesnt have a career now does she? She relied on hookups and didnt want to do the WORK. Tons of venues have rebooked heather for 2 decades... where is Davi's tour??? I have booked Heather twice. 0 issues. She may be the headliner but if there was a breakdown in communication someone of her STATUS and experience should have receipts and confirmed everything ATLEAST a day before. U do not show up day of and complain that things are not working. Second you do not take it out on the opener. You want to talk about true colors, this should not have happened. Said she could of fired her but didn’t and just stopped hanging with her. Said she was good at her job so Handler ignored many issues. Seems this lady has shade and ego.
