Wow this reminds me of my undergrad days at Lincoln U. Your campus is beautiful. One word of advice, don't do anything you'll ever be ashamed of. One thing that really made my day was when the sororities and fraternities would hold Step shows in the quad. I was into acting and performed in plays and performances as well as being a science geek. Use you right and left brain to keep balance, network with your teachers, they can be your biggest cheerleaders. Some of them really do care.

I’m South African and although I’m black, coloureds are Africans. I don’t know a coloured person who isn’t African, South African to be specific since being coloured is a South African concept with their own cultures, traditions etc. Coloured people vary in appearance, for example, some are mistook for being white, others as mistook for being black, and anything in between. Similar to black people, like I’m dark skinned but my little sister is medium-light skinned and my brother is very light-skinned and pale. If by ‘African’ you’re referring to being black, well you can’t be coloured and black, unless you’re mixed race. It’s just one of those things where you’d have to be South African or have lived in South African for a while to understand because it’s actually not that complex. I don’t want to delve too deep into the topic because I’m not coloured so I can’t speak on their behalf but I hope this clears up some of the confusion in terms of appearance

I'm not trying to come off rude but we should stop obsessing over how black or white someone especially especially when they are multiracial. All parts of their DNA matter.
