Raihan Purboyo yes. you use the charging handle to charge it. you never pull a forward assist, you push it to clear a jam in the rifle
it is a problem.....to charge an m16 or m4 rifle you pull the charging handle on top of the receiver, the forward assist is used too fully seat the bolt into battery position to fire if the bolt did not so on its momentum after hitting the bolt release button.
Tyler McFarland not just a jam. If you want to make sure your bolt carrier group is set in the receiver then you can tap it a couple times.
LEX Maximaguy87 you can also (if you run out of ammo) use the bolt catch.
This "Armed Forces Corp" game has detailed animations for attaching scopes and suppressors, but they don't have different reload animations? How did those devs not know the difference between tactical reloading and regular reloading.

Every other game: *shoots continuously* *gun starts moving upwards*
Call of Duty: *shoots continuously* *gun barely shakes*
because call of duty is made for little kids, they can't handle the recoil for a gun and follow the enemy at the same time.
battlefailed and cod are the same type of game...
Did anybody say something about battlefield and cod? no, so why do you come up with it? oh and they being the same TYPE of game doesn't mean they are the SAME game, cod is shit, battlefield isn't, it's that easy.
yeah battlefailed isnt shit? 7.62 miniguns destroy tanks at the same rate a 30mm can which is impossible btw, 30mm cant even scratch a tank let alone destroy one. C4 jeeps, planes takeoff with only 50 meter distance on flat terrain, Sniper rifles doing more damage then machine guns of much larger caliber... small maps which are only 1.5 x 1.5 km
infantry surviving multiple direct 30mm hits
sprinting without stamina ever running out
paying 60 dollars for a few new maps
grinding in a game you already paid for
single man carrying 5 rpg warheads and a rpg loaded with over 200 rounds of ammo running around like its nothing
open parachutes at 2 meters agl and being fine doing so after landing...
no team work, no tactics, you need giant icons on the screen in order for players to play the god damn game.

I was comparing it to cod, is there bigger maps in cod? is there tactics in cod? is there even vehicles? obviously there's better games, but it's good compared to cod.
I like how the sound for putting on a suppressor in CS:S is the sound of racking the bolt.

Battlefield 3 had some of the best automatic weapon sounds ive ever heard.
Not necessarily the most realistic but they just sounded so great.
It sounded so light, more like a paintball gun :v
actually the realism is there, if you've ever fired a gun with hearing protection (something that you need when enlisted) guns sound a lot more like paintball/air guns. It's just a sort of popping as opposed to loud blasting.

You don't pull the forward assist on an AR-style rifle. That's what you do with the _charging handle/bolt._ the forward assist is to assist in forwarding the bolt in case the bolt does not lock properly or does not go forward.

They featured the ROF a bit different from the actual one tho.

Whe I learnt 1 thing from videogames: When you reload your M4 or M16, always give the weapon a small tap afterwards.
As a 4* AR T-doll (Now 5* once Neural Upgrade was introduced), she was earn the title "Cinnamon Roll"
It's funny that some of the M4s in these games have a high recoil, but in reality they don't kick that hard

I remember when I shot the M4 in burst mode when I was in the service. We were told not to shoot the ceiling, damn ceiling had bullet holes all in it. It's inevitable that someone shoots the ceiling.
the ambient generate big part of the sound (reverb) and the sound designers can take a path to realism or to make sound powerfull (there is a video in youtube in wich a designer tell a story of a weapon feeling weak for the players underpower, the they change the sounds and the players says they fix the game, hehe)
You should do a shotgun next, maybe the SPAS or Remington 870, that would be really interesting

I don't understand why in some games recoil causes your aim to rise up and stay at the peak of the recoil. It should always come back down to the original spot after recovery no matter what. You don't see people at shooting ranges fire high recoil weapons and just keep them pointed at the sky.
Manual input by the player, most likely.

Insurgency was the only game in the list that didn't make the M4 look like a toy in terms of firing, lol, Armed Forces Corp and Battlefield was pretty neat too, I guess.
Not Required If the ROF for the M4A1 was bumped up a little bit in Insurgency, it would be pretty exact to the real thing. BF3’s version was the closest out of all of these IMO

Btw, forward assist is useless. ARs are very reliable that the forward assist is not that useful.
I like the ones that aren't customized like almost all games do. (MW3's was an abomination)

this gun in Far cry 2004 is not an M4A1, this is an M16A2 "Carbine" or Colt Model 727 because has an M16A2 Upper

What about the other M4A1 from COD mw2 and Mw3? And if anyone is "wondering was it also in black ops 1, technically no. The Commando was more of an early version of the M4A1 which then would later lead to the M4A1 we all love.

He hit the magazine release. If the magazine is empty there's no point keeping it.
When he somehow how chambers the round, if you slow it down, you can tell you doesn't even touch the gun, thus the round should not be chambered.
The M4A1 is the Carbine variant of M16 rifles only that in some games it's made to look different
...Why does the Far Cry M4 use different sounds for automatic and semi-automatic fire?
If you listen closely with the original in-game files, they are actually the same sound at the beginning.

Probably explains why I never really liked the M4A1 in games. Apart from just not liking most of that gun's family, only so many games actually do it justice in the first place. In no way do I think the gun is bad, I just think it's crap.
I'm so glad modern M4's got rid of the carry handle, they worked for the 60's-80'a but they're so outdated now

M16 was designed in the 1950s by Eugene Stoner and eventually became the original AR-10.
