I'm surprised that they didn't tap Chet Atkins to do the score...would have improved the quality...never knew they had Comanches in SoCal...guess in the contest between Young and Robbins, Young was #1 with a bullet...Sebastian didn't even have to join a monastery, just throw on the robe and...voila, instant friar! Was that Lee van Cliff at the end?

how is it possible to have happened to Sabata this bad thing? ...he was put out of room at pure punches 13:20 min.....this happened for only one reason: Sabata was out of his movie... the guy that beaten him was runt by far than him, skinny, not, not , not...Lee Van Klee never would permit such an humiliation like that in Sabata.

I don't know why Jim Davis didn't click and become a major western actor. He had the voice, looks and he was tough. He appeared in John Wayne (he was the leader of the men trying to hang the shepherd in Big Jake), & Clint Eastwood films but had they made him the major villain instead of a bit player he could've become a contender.
The other actor with the same acting issue was Myron Healey. Lots of films and TV and a very recognizable face and voice. I understand he was a Wayne stand in sometimes. He was the guard in True Grit who told Mattie to come up the prison stairs at the beginning and see Rooster Cogburn in the morning.
There were many who should have gone further -- fortunately for the friendship he had with Wayne and Eastwood, John Russell was a villain in Wayne's Rio Bravo & in 2 Eastwood films (The Outlaw Josey Wales, & Pale Rider as the evil Marshall Stockburn).
Lee Van Cleef in this film also played opposite both Wayne and Eastwood. He had a few chances as a lead actor but never carried it off as well as Wayne or Eastwood. Great character-actors back in the '50s and 60's.

Kind of a dumb contradicting story and what's with the stampede? If everybody would have stayed out of the street and found a lotch or building no one would have been hurt.

This was a good western.....but I can't believe what happened to JD. All he had to do was to stand on the porch instead of the middle of the street. The Captain SHOULD HAVE KNOWN BETTER.(ls)
