This looks every bit 450bhp ! It absolutely moves 🔥 . I prefer the supercharged Type R over the turbocharged ones , I think they seem to work more naturally with the high revving nature of the car. Lovely build dude 👊🔥
Tbf I've only seen supercharged ones on CZcams but they seem to be the better conversion purely for track focus driving turbos all day for drag racing. They seem to have more linear power but that's purely from what I can see via a video/vlog.

Only over the last couple of years Turbochargers have taken over. People have ditched their Jackson Racing (Roots) supercharger for a turbo because they want more out of it.
I wouldn't say superchargers are better for track to be honest, it depends on how they're setup and how your car is setup. Rotrex superchargers have there fair share of issues aswel, not the most reliable kits

Standard engine. Standard clutch. No LSD. It's shit. Mechanically it's a ticking time bomb. Power is nothing without control. I fitted my ep3 with a rotrex supercharger but I only went with the stage 1 setup. However I fitted all the necessary mods. The car made 337bhp and 225 ft lbs. I fitted coilovers, a LSD, Stage 2 clutch, Gruppe M induction kit,strut braces front and rear, JDM anti roll bars front and rear, performance discs and pads front and rear with braided brake lines and high temperature brake fluid. I fitted a high flow fuel pump and 750cc injectors. High temperature spark plugs and high temperature coolant. I fitted lightweight OZ Allegerita alloys and the camber was a "fast road" setup. I fitted an engine torque damper and polyurethane engine mounts. New track rods. A piper exhaust manifold and 2.5 inch exhaust system with decat pipe. All of these mods were fitted and tuned at Eurospec2000 in Guildford. With a Hondata ECU. This guy has built this car in his shed. Focusing on power! In the process he forgot about drive ability. Reliability and sale ability.

Having owned both a turbo charged ep3 and a supercharged ep3 personally would choose the supercharged every time for road driveability. The progressive nature can be tuned perfectly alongside vtec. Of course if you want a drag monster I would choose turbo. That's just my subjective experience.
Had mine just over a month now and jeez I loved it more every day. These cars are so underrated. Yeah the suspension setup isnt great from factory but it's a great base for modding.
k20a2 is my favorite K series hands down, this guys build is mental.
That engine can handle 500bhp all day long with a decent clutch in it.. there doing it in america reliable over engineered engines. Im tempted to get one myself
Whilst I don’t disagree with that Dave, whenever I see American vids the power levels they quote seem really high. I know my Imprezas & Evo’s well and some vids I see they’ll be like “it made 400 wheel bro” and I think... not a hope in hell.

Manny Del Real 500 to the wheels on a unopened K series is quite normal in Florida where I live and in many other states aswell.

@@fortniteboss2837 It's about 340bhp now, next week doing upgrades and going for 380-400bhp. It cost me alot but ive been doing the car for 2,5 years. Follow me on ig @e46_supercharged if you want, car originally started as 320 but i did an engine swap too.

Richard at TTS has been around for years supercharging cars and bikes. Top boy
I like chargers coz the most power/torque is at the top end, you’re always chasing that. Where with stock (smaller) turbos it’s like whoosh in the mid range, break traction and then it’s all over. Like the 1.8t’s - all over by 5k.

r32harps people Been supercharging from before the streets were flooded with turbocharged ones! 300bhp used to be the benchmark though, now they’re a different class 👊🏽

Insurance isnt bad tbh. I have this setup on my fn2 type r and only 3 years no claims. Just over 500 a year.
You get any problems with kit thinking of the same kit for my fn2
These cars make way more than 450 on a stock block. I’ve seen 700 in death mode 600 reliable. With the exception of the gearbox. The weak link is the trans. Built block no sleeves will hold high 800s low 900s

I said I'd always leave my EP3 stock but after watching this.....🧐🤔
You can't really after you drive one with proper mods. Just intake (+manifold), proper headers, 3 inch well ressonated exhaust, some soft cams, kpro and it is such a nicer motor in every single way that a stock ep3 will feel like an ep2. Throw some proper calipers, lsd, some fresh b6 dampers (doesn't even need lowering springs) and it's such a perfect car for everything. I like stock looks at 100%, including ride height, just a bit harder springs (jdm ones), better dampers and voilá, best hot-hatch one can have.
