    This driver was way out of his depth, plus the fact the spotter has a lot to answer for. His lack of experience demonstrated in this video, is indicative of that. With these two inexperienced guys, this was an easy predictable accident. Fortunately for both of them, they have survived to see another day.

      I agree, driver’s lack of vehicle control led to over driving the obstacle. We see so many macho desk jockeys pretending to be pro-spotters because they’re toy proud to admit they don’t no shit about tire placement or vehicle dynamics in difficult terrain!

    Be great to hear the engine, tyres on rocks, people talking as opposed to all the music drowning everything out. It is a 4WD video, if I wanted to listen to music I would turn on the radio. Still, glad no one was hurt, and it sucks that happened but to be expected if you push the boundaries of your limits, but hey that's what getting out there is all about.

    Wow. That was a horrible roll over. The hand/arm out the driver window freaked me out. But I hate to pour salt on the wound of the driver, but that was a case of waaaay too excessive skinny pedal! I'm shocked the driver didn't get out of it with the clutch as soon as the front went up. Glad no one was injured! Hopefully a good learning lesson and sad for the Jeep. Safe wheeling.

    I've always been a firm believer that you should walk your way into wheeling, not running. I'm assuming the drivers skill set only by watching this clip. Lots of mistakes. Add low wheeling time, lockers, 4:1 case and bad spotting and you've got at minimum a wasted vehicle. I'm glad the guys ok..... My TJ is on 1 tons, 40s, stretched, blah blah blah and it took me 26 yrs of wheeling to get to that point. And I still hate certain lines. baby steps my friend, baby steps.

    I live in Colorado now and have been around off roading my entire life but in other States. Last year I ordered a 2021 JL Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon and totally love it. Everything except for the eTorque. That system I hate but everything else is really nice on my Jeep. After seeing this video I now want to go check out that spot and attempt it myself.

    • @amyfromcali9051

    • @j.r.777
      @j.r.777 Před rokem +1

      @@amyfromcali9051, I’m from Cali too originally. But the eTorque has its own battery, coolant system and water pump as well as a belt start generator as opposed to a traditional alternator. I like to off road and go off grid in very remote locations. All of those things add weight, more complexity and more things to break down. An alternator or a battery dies, I can do a trail fix. Not with any of these components though. An alternator is maybe $200.00 to $250.00. A battery, maybe $150.00 at the most. The eTorque system has a belt start generator that is around $1,200.00 just for the part. $2,000.00 to $2,500.00 for the eTorque battery just for the part and that takes special tools and training to change. The water pump and coolant system is I think somewhere between $500.00 to $850.00 just for the parts. Plus the stop/start feature will shorten the life span of an engine. All that to save 1mpg to 2mpg. But delete all that stuff and save the weight and I bet you would accomplish the same goal. Since the manual transmission 3.6’s don’t have eTorque I’m trying to see if I can convert mine to that same set up but with the 8 speed automatic transmission?

Short wheel bases coupled with higher center of gravity, spring in the tires (Bounce) and of course the gravity constant... pitch angle, articulation. When to use the horse power, when to NOT use the horse power all combine. Like previous commentor.. there is a comprehension level.. however, experience points were earned here.. no body got hurt.
