BMW R1300 GS | KAROO 4s are GONE (and Mudguard)! Replaced with ANAKEE Adventures!

Had to get rid of the Karoo 4s. They were just not meant for road riding. They would track all over the place on rain grooves and uneven surfaces on the freeways/highways. They were loud. They certainly looked awesome, but weren't feasible for 90% road riding. Great tire, but not for me.
So I swapped them out for Anakee Adventures. Instantly I felt a huge difference riding back from the dealership. Smooth riding, no tracking all over the place, and felt planted. They do howl though on leans, but nothing like the Karoo 4s.
So the Karoo 4s are for sale with 665 miles on them so they're practically brand new. If anyone wants them, hit me up.

I use the Michelin AA rear on my SuperTenere. I get about 10,000 miles use. Tried many others, nothing near as good on cold, wet paved that's also good on fs roads. Great traction year round.
I run the Dunlop TMM front. I like it better on gravel, but I hate it on tar snakes. Happy riding all~

Might go back to the Karoo 4s. Anakees are loud in leans. Louder than the Karoos.

You know what? After riding 100 miles on the Anakees, I did notice they were louder than the Karoo 4s, particularly when leaning. They ride smoother, but may switch back to the Karoo 4s...

@@MotoPapa88 Anakees are great overall. But man if you go off road the 4s will take you to the next level, and much quieter. The rear 4 will pucker you up a little sometimes......

These tyres are just for visuals, T32 bridgestones are a great tyre for this bike. I have rode miles and miles of gravel through spain on them and at a nice brisk pace unflustered completely. The standard karoos are an awful tyre on the road if you are trying to push on. I done 200 miles on mine and threw them off as I did with my last gs.

AA are good tyres when the road surface isn't great - winter mud in the UK. I tried Dunlop Mutants this time around and prefer them for their neutrality, especially when leaned over. Having said that, I'd still happily go back to AA if I couldn't find a Mutant or the cost difference got too much.

In the twisties and I didn't notice much difference between the Karoos and the Anakees aside from the fact the Anakees were louder in the turns. They ride smoother, but may switch back to the Karoo 4s...
