The Florida State Trooper told the driver to forget about it (killing my sister) and told the driver to go back to work. The driver was "not" cited with even a traffic ticket. This is the real reality. This college student and her family deserved a hell of a lot better than a horrid jerk laughing at her death and her value. (Neither any of these interviewers cared anything about this student, a beautiful woman was killed and the interviewer wants to know if her death was a speed bump. And the interviewee says it hurt the police, really? What about the girl's family do you think they were hurt?)

First, he forgot to mute/switch off his bodycam given that he wasn't on the scene of action at the moment and then more importantly, someone at the PD had the guts to flag the misconduct of his senior. And finally, the police chief decided not to sweep the entire matter under the rug to save the honor of SPD and instead chose to submit it for further investigation. It's a rarety that all these things go wrong from the pov of officers which exactly led to his exposure. It's a bigger issue when such officers are in-charge of senior positions. Not only are they bad influence to the newer recruits but also I presume difficult to report against due to career related consequences? I'm sure many more sociopaths masquerade as police officers in this country. It's just that more than one thing went wrong for this officer and that's why the public is able to witness it. First, he forgot to mute/switch off his bodycam given that he wasn't on the scene of action at the moment and then more importantly, someone at the PD had the guts to flag the misconduct of his senior. And finally, the police chief decided not to sweep the entire matter under the rug to save the honor of SPD and instead chose to submit it for further investigation. It's a rarety that all these things go wrong from the pov of officers which exactly led to his exposure. It's a bigger issue when such officers are in-charge of senior positions. Not only are they bad influence to the newer recruits but also I presume difficult to report against due to career related consequences? And to think of it, she died from the impact from one of their own vehicles. Sheesh!
P.S: Even if it's a priority 1 call, it doesn't just makes everyone else on the street easy collateral!

The young lady who died was the subject of negligent police driving with another officer colliding with her at 3 times the recommended speed limit. I’m sorry for her, and her family.

When a high priority call comes in Fewer cops are available. The footprint of the city hasn’t changed. Less cops, further travel, higher speeds. Over 800 people have died of OD YTD in King County, mostly Seattle. Where is your sympathy for them. The officer that struck her is devastated. The remarks were insensitive for sure. They were suppose to be done in August but internal person escalated this and that's how the police camera recording was released. I am not a cop because I am better at doing other jobs so I decided to another line of duty You should be outraged..because tomorrow it could be someone you know.
