I try to view each of the S3 episodes in its own right, much as I love the overall story. One of Archer's biggest struggles will be with himself, as he tries to keep his humanity in the face of what he must do as Captain, and Commander of this mission. He won't be much like Kirk or Picard; this is before their time, when things aren't so settled.
I really like this episode on its own merit. The best part, for me, is the building tension between Reed and the MACO leader. You can already tell a major blowup is coming.
I still maintain that this is the best show since the original, and I'm definitely in for the whole run and beyond!
Hail JMan. As a little kid, I loved Starblazers, and their one year mission to save the Earth. There was a little bit of that in season 3. As such season 3 has been my favorite. I suppose I'm less a fan of episodic sci fi and more a fan of a main narrative. Most of all, season 3 takes Archer to new highs....and lows. But fair play, I know Clobby wouldn't have been keen on s3 nor RM Briggs, so opinions vary. At least we agree on what is best in life. "Crush your enemies...."
Clobby and RM didnt like season 3. He told me that before. but i mean its still better than all other star treks came after it.
@JMan77 There are a bunch of things Clobby and I disagree on ( I like Man Of Steel), and more we agreed on ( Christopher Reeve will always be the greatest Superman, and Superman the movie is the greatest superhero film). One thing I especially admired about him was that he could accept different opinions and never insulted or criticized other fans, the world needs more people like him.
@@RRTNZ for sure. I also don’t mind what people like and dislike.
