Do NOT put sandpaper inside your meat grinder. You are introducing ground steel filings from the blades into your meat and aluminum oxide from the sandpaper as well. Sharpen your blades between uses, wash thoroughly, and reinstall PRIOR to introducing meat again.
Aluminium oxide ingestion does not lead to significant toxicological problems. The steel filings isn't the problem, it's actually the microorganisms in the steel filings that can make you sick.

Be sure to completely clean the food grinder. Sandpaper has a tendency to leave bits of grit behind; wouldn't want that in the baby food.

A lot of these hacks are over engineered. I assume these hacks are for people who don't own that specific tool and are in desperate need of a solution.

Some of these are not a good idea to use! Especially, the melting if the pipe. It damages the structural integrity of the pipe. When it would be much easier to just use a slip joint!!
