This first trailer has to be one of the most practical trailers I have ever seen. Period.
It would be great if you added the dimensions of the cargo area so people would know what they could store in the hauler!

REALLY enjoy you bringing us all the different types of RV's and floor plans.
Wow I’d be able to bring my golf cart along! Plus be able to get it anywhere at anytime I like! With a sweet little travel trailer along. I believe that this setup is just the ticket for any of the mid-sized Pickups out there, as long as you get one with the Factory Tow Package! As far as a half ton? Sure any one with the basic standard engine could with no problem!

I have the Forest River Ozark Light 1700th toy hauler; which is a small toy hauler. We like it a lot. Tow with a F150 with the small V8 in it, would not want to tow it up big hills with the small V8. We also have a Queen bed in the front. Check it out... about 3500lb and 480lb hitch weight

Great work as usual. I think you should include tank capacity on these smaller units since they're more likely to be used for boondocking.

That little toy hauler is a really smart unit but the fold-down ramp at the back seems really steep to be able to get a motorcycle up in there. You didn't mention how much weight the ramp could take

Trim it down to 12 ft long, lower It To The Ground as far as possible, put a clamshell rear hatch that serves as a ramp ,
porch and shade roof. Eliminate the bathroom. You know have the perfect Harley hauler. People that go to Sturgis stay in campgrounds that have bathrooms. Make it lightweight enough so you don't have to have a specialized vehicle to pull it. you now have the blueprint for the trailer I designed 15 years ago
Now you’re speaking my language I have a 1990 Chevy LS swap that I want something low to put a dirtbike and spend a few years in the mountains chasing weather and the wife is 100% in. I also thought of a clam shell back with rap capabilities and outdoor kitchen let me know what you know ha ha
They’d like small truck towable. Most modern 1/2 tons are close to double that.
Tow this with a small ranger or Tacoma.
This guy seems to think you should only tow 60% of max towing capacity. All his videos seem to be like that.

That 18-foot hauler is not a bad idea. But I would have a side-drop murphy bed on one wall, with a drop-down table folded against the other wall, using the bed as a seat. A summer weather-seal curtain in the back wall would be good too, so that you could keep the gate down and level as a patio for longer periods of time. The bathroom of the G19FE in front of the hauler, with kitchen off to the side, both behind a thin foam/f-glass wall to keep kitchen odors localized, in a 20-foot variant would be peachy. (Greasy, onion kitchen cooking odors always last much longer than toilet odors). Last but not least, the trailer shell should be a one-piece foam or balsa dry layup laminate vacuum-impregnated fiberglass construction; no seam joints between walls and roof, or side and front walls. I'd also carve a hole in the rear door so I could run a removable chimney flue out of it for a wood burning winter camping stove. But it's the right setup for a hunting or summer/winter camping or cross-country travelling or furniture moving rig.

That's the main knock I have on the Geo pro is the width. 8.5 width is the only way to go.
I wish you would still give prices like you used to do. That made it very interesting, and comparable to other units. It's a great review, and very informative, but it's really missing that 1 important piece of info to know if it's a good value or not.
While I agree, just think about when this video is 5 years old and someone watches it for the first time the price is going to change. It's also going to depend where you live and what dealer(s) are in your area and what discounts they're going to offer. He could give the MSRP sure, but from what I've noticed with campers is the MSRP is always like 20-40% higher than the sale price so it's not even an accurate number. Your best bet is to call a dealer and just ask them or look it up on a Forum and ask what others have paid for it, if you're interested in the floor plan and quality of the product.

1st one : Nice for smaller SUV and possibly a Jeep. Curious what the tongue weight is with a heavy 4x4 ATV in the rear. Being a single axle seems like it might be light up front.

I always assumed fresh water carried took away from capacity.

A highlander would be a little iffy. I work for Toyota and the brand new ones are only rated for 5,000 pounds with the v6. So over 4,000 you'll be pushing it on what it can haul and that's if you're on flat roads. If you're driving in the mountains then by by transmission.

Nice but to long I just use 20' total length hitch ball to rear. Pull with 8' long bed with 4 door truck. Just enough for most places parking and living off grid and using two parking spaces when needed.

i know i've already watched this video and commented, but i was wondering BTBRV if you could find something like a Hyperlite htl from 2009 that weighs around 1100 pounds that i could tow with a quarter ton truck like my 2001 ranger with a 3.0 L v6
Great stuff. I was thinking of modding a 1/4 tun with a custom 5th weel 15-18ft toy hauler. I want to travel far and easy hauling the trailer with a snowmabel. I'm good at welding, carpentry, pluming, electric and disinging. I live in ca and want to go to Canada. Is this completely unposabule ?

Many or most midsize SUVs I think could tow this. . In fact anything w/ a 6000lb towing capacity .. meaning.. a Grand Cherokee 2004 & newer regardless of powertrain will be able to tow this. .

The Murphy bed is only a Full 54" x 74', not a Queen. I guess they don't build them for taller people.
Exactly....even when you configure it with the table. It gets wider but its still to short for us taller 6 -4 to 6- 5 guys. Id buy this if it wasn't so short!!

A 4 wheeler or off road bike might be ok. But not for a street bike. Rear door looks to steep. The frame on a street bike is low.
That rear ramp is just fine, even for a GoldWing. It's over 6 feet long, wide and totally stable. The box floor of my truck is higher than the floor of that hauler, and I could easily torque any bike up my detachable loading ramp with a bit of a run to start.

LPL could open that in less than a minute, regardless of what lock is on the door. Dude is a witch!
Does it really matter? Most keyed trailer locks can be raked or bumped and a crowbar will get you into pretty much any trailer.
thats nice but it seems like its on the heavier side. the wolf pup cherokee is a 16 foot at like 2900 pounds. but anyways that is still a nice toy hauler.

I'm sure it'd be fine as long as you take it nice and slow so it doesn't bounce around. Any camper if you bounce it around too much you wont have anything left in the cabinets anyway lol.
