  • In this episode, we catch up with New Jersey rocker Brian Fallon. The Gaslight Anthem founder just released his third solo album, Local Honey, that broadens his solo sound with polished storytelling cast over an Americana backdrop. The charismatic frontman virtually welcomes PG’s Perry Bean into his home studio for a 50+-minute hang that covers the various custom Fender Teles, explains the triumphs (and agony) of reconstructing amps, and details his holy-grail drive.
[Facing a mandatory shelter-in ordinance to limit the spread of COVID-19, PG enacted a hybrid approach to filming and producing Rig Rundowns. This is the fifth video in that format, and we stand behind the final product.]

Honestly it's so cool to see him so happy and comfortable in his own skin like this. He was so clearly having a miserable time post-American Slang with Gaslight along with his divorce. Seeing him like this brings me joy, man.

I finally got to see them live in 2013 at Voodoo Festival and he seemed completely miserable. Something must have between him and Trent Reznor backstage because all he did was go through the notions of songs, and then talk sht about Trent in between songs. NIN, The Cure, and Pearl Jam were the headliners. He was definitely in a bad mental place. Still love his music, haven’t seen them live since.

Even if is the "isolation" edition is one of the best episode of Rig Rundwon. Brian has a lot of knowledge in the tone search. Great Player and great songwriter.

I was going through high school when TGA were still around and touring. They were/are my favourite band and helped me get through every part of growing into the young 24 y/o man I am now. I’ve met Brian twice, once in 2012 & then again in 2018. He really is as nice as they come & just genuinely a cool dude to talk to.

Awesome video, always been a huge fan of Brian between Gaslight, his solo stuff, This Charming Man, etc. Never knew he was such a technical guy either. Also after watching this video I'm convinced Perry has some cool stories and is the kind of person that would be awesome to grab a drink or 2 with
