DJI Mini 2 SE at Dedication Point at the Snake River Canyon

- I have been wanting to fly the little DJI Mini 2 SE at Dedication Point at the Snake River Canyon for a while now. The little drone did not disappoint. The drone gave us a good look at Swan Falls Dam in the distance. I flew it down low into the canyon to get a good look at the Snake River.

I would love to fly this area, so beautiful! You can see the Ravens on this video and you also captured some other animal running on the ground. The timer shows 8:59 when you see it running after the Raven flies by. The Mini 2 SE does a great job and thanks for sharing your video!!

Thanks Marcus for another great video. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience. I have had the same drone for a few months and love it. Mine did the same garbled FPV on my last flight, but the video recorded on the micro SD card was perfect. Some other CZcamsrs have shown the same issue, but it goes away if you stop and restart recording while in-flight. Mine hasn’t done it again so I haven’t been able to test it. (Actually hope I don’t have to.)

Marcus, I’m a subscriber and enjoy your videos.
I experienced the same pixelated screen on my mini 2. The first time it happened I thought my iPhone screen was heating up, but it occurred again later while using the smart controller and that’s an android device. The pixelated screen is an intermittent problem and can be cleared up by stop recording if you’re taking a video or start recording if you’re not video recording.
I learned later that others have also had the same problem with their mini 2’s.
I did a screen recording one day when it acted up and sent the video to DJI. They had me send the mini 2 back and sent me a new replacement. It wasn’t long after that and the new replacement was doing the same thing.
I don’t get the mini 2 up in the air very often anymore and I can live with the problem knowing I can clear up the screen quickly and continue flying.
Note: It’s not caused by the temperature, the SD card or stored Cache.
I tried using different iPhones, iPads and also the Tripletek tablet. Nothing else has worked.

My mini 2 SE did the same thing with the camera on my second flight in a city. I stopped and restarted the recording and it went away. Only did it once.

Sorry about your FPV feed acting up on you, I hope you get that sorted out. Otherwise a fine flight from the Mini 2 SE. Which is maybe the best bargain drone on the.market. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic video Marcus The same thing happens to my Mini 2 SE sometimes, making it hard to see. I've discovered that this generally happens after five or six minutes of filming .However, I did find that if you switch the camera off and back on, it will clear up I believe it is related to S D card and camera processing.

Nice video and scenery Marcus, but rather strange FPV behaviour. Still love my Mini 2SE and it is my main drone. I have thought of buying the Mini 3 and now the Mini 4. But at the end of the day the Mini 2SE works perfectly for my needs as a hobby flyer. Also there is nothing wrong with 2.7K video, mind you most of my videos are filmed in 1080p and i still make awesome videos. 👍😊

This is absolutely the best budget drone on the market. There are a few that come close but over all the DJI minis remain king. I’ve never had any problems with the fpv or signal.

Always enjoy your videos. Just curious, why do you use metric instead of imperial? Since you are in the US I figured that you would want to use feet not meters.
I use metric for a couple of reasons. It is easier to use and makes much more sense, and most of the manufacturers use metric in their instructions and manuals. 👍

P you never let the drone land itself when you hit return to home you always interfere with it. Why don’t you let the drone do its own thing returned on every time I watch you do that you can’t you gotta mess with it please please Marcus let the thing do what is designed to do. I am one other thing great location please use feet you’re in the United States and please.

It is a great drone. I never had that problem. However if you would use feet per second if you would use imperial measurements instead of metric I mean where in the United States so let’s use Matt creek where where in over the pond since we’re in the United States, let’s use.
The Mini 2 SE is not equiped with precision landing. 👍 I prefer the metric system, and the manuals all use metric. Thank you!
