Please share the word, Peter! I would LOVE to get to a million subscribers, helping project managers across the world.
I'll be sharing a highly requested video soon, focused on how to setup the PMO Template in Smartsheet, which tracks projects at a portfolio-level. It will be a great one! Thanks for watching.

Hi, I'm a newbie to Smartsheet, I think I heard in this lesson we could get this template, is that correct and how do I do it please. Thankyou.

Hi, great overview. Although the template cannot be updated, can it be used to generate a new project for a fresh “source of truth” project? The goal would be to save as a new template ensuring only the intended changes were made to the template.

Hello Jason! Yes, this should be possible. Once you open the template and save as a new sheet, you can make any required changes and then you have the option to save as a new template. I recommend coming up with a solid naming convention to ensure you are clear on the most recent template to avoid confusion for yourself and others (I.e., consider using the date in the naming conversion or a version number). Best of luck!

A manager I'm working with wants to use a project template, but she also wants to have all projects gathered together on one sheet. How would a project template work in that scenario? As new projects need to be added to the sheet, how can the template be evoked? Is it just a matter of copying and pasting from the template to the sheet containing all the projects? Thanks so much, and I really find your vids very useful!

Hello! You nailed it with your thought process. To keep it simple, you could create a template that includes parent tasks and child tasks that you would like included for each project. You can then copy/paste the information into the ‘portfolio’ sheet. Best of luck!

@@PMPexpert Thanks, Kandis! However, I discovered a really disappointing shortcoming when copying from the source template to the destination sheet: The Predecessors data is lost. I don't suppose there's a workaround for that?

If I'd listen better...Subscribed to your You Tube Channel and searched on-line see if I could figure out how to access the workspace where the template is stored but to no avail. Love the videos, please help me, thanks.

Hello! It isn't exactly the same, although there is a similar Smartsheet Template Set found at the following link that you can add to a workspace: app.smartsheet.com/r/template-gallery/templates/d39aeb90-a72c-4645-9e7b-848b3109a3ee/Project-Schedule-Management. I hope this is helpful. :)

Hi Kandis. Thanks for your videos. Glad I came across them. Quick question - my critical path does not show up as red. Does that mean I do not have one? Would love to have a consultant session with you. Please send your contact information and I will contact you offline. Thank you.

Hello! If your critical path is not showing up as red, you may have one task that is missing a dependency and is breaking the logic. Please double check that you have every task with a dependency.
Feel free to email us at inquiry@effectiveflowconnections.com. Best of luck with your projects and we look forward to hearing from you!
