I just installed my own 90% goodman furnace. Took my time feel like I did a good job on everything. Ran great first day second day flame wasn't consistent and gas valve was clicking. Took me 3 days to figure it out after checking everything my vent was not pitched enough and condensation was building up and pressure switch wasn't closing. I probably saved 3k installing it myself. Furnace works great now and happy I did it myself. I'm not saying all furnace repair / installers are bad but most of them charge too much damn money. I learned how the furnace operates and learned how to install them. If you're handy at all its not very hard to do and I recommend it. Just make sure all your gas fittings are sealed ,tight and leak tested. Check gas pressures on your inlet and outlet. These new furnaces are pretty safe and have fail safes for the gas valve. Don't get ripped off do it yourself.

The coil is bad on the gas valve. The best way it was described to me when I was going through tech school was that, "If it's receiving its inputs (voltage & gas) and it isn't doing its job, the component is bad.". Any call I go on where I have to condemn a part, I never try to say "I don't know.". The customer deserves a better reasoning than "I don't know.", lol.
    Good job on the repair.

Honeywell VR8345M is a good universal valve that includes an LP kit in case you need it. They’re a little pricey but a good true universal fit to save the running around. This is the second time I’ve noticed in a month you’ve needed to run after an LP kit. Good diagnosis though!

I'll admit, however, that I don't keep shooting questions at them as they do their work, like this guy did, very annoying. I mostly just observe and make mental notes, with an occasional question if I'm still not 100% clear, but I can usually get it the first time just by quietly watching.
