Ezra is a man alive at the fall of Jerusalem, and is put into a position of prominence among his remnant peoples. It tells the great tale of his experiences, his love for God and his deep concern for his fellow people. In speaking with God, (and because he is a truly righteous man) Ezra is gifted with beautiful explanations of many of the most poignant parts of history, such as the mysteries of life on earth and the future of God's creation. An incredible amount of knowledge is passed to him. It is said (in the text itself) that this book is meant to be an addition to Daniel and Revelation.
General info: 2nd Esdras (also called 4 Esdras, Latin Esdras, or Latin Ezra) is the name of an apocalyptic book in many versions of the Bible. Its authorship is ascribed to Ezra, a scribe and a priest of the 5th century BCE. It is reckoned among the apocrypha by Roman Catholics, Protestants, and most Eastern Orthodox Christians. 2 Esdras was excluded by Jerome from his Vulgate version of the Old Testament, but from the 9th century onwards the Latin text is sporadically found as an appendix to the Vulgate, inclusion becoming more general after the 13th century.
What was labeled 'the apocrypha' (usually the apocalyptic visions had by many of the scribes of the Bible) were taken out of the modern Holy Bible. The Rom. Cath. Church felt that the knowledge in these sections was too advanced, too difficult to believe or too controversial for the common people to know. Known as 4 Ezra in some bibles, 2nd Esdras, or sometimes Latin Esdras, it would have originally been appended to the end of Ezra, just before Nehemiah.
This part of the Book Of Ezra was removed from the Holy Bible. (Some versions which contain the apocrypha may still contain this portion). 4 Ezra or Second Esdras is now considered a part of the standard 'apocrypha', and can be found via the list called 'official apocrypha' in many types of bibles, including the 1611 KJV. I find it to be one of the most beautiful, most wonderful and most prophetic books I’ve ever read.
The roman catholic church has held many councils through the years, (Nicaea, Laodicea,Trent) which removed key portions of the original text of the Bible. Also, on the political social front, post protestant-reformation, the roman catholic church has also held councils (like v@tican 2, Verona/Vienna, etc) wherein papal bulls and broad, generalized decrees were made.

His name was never pronounced “EA-SOUS”. With the letter “iot/jot” if you have a consonant after the letter “iot/jot” the name has the letter I sound. If you have a vowel after the letter “iot/jot” the name has the letter J sound. By rule, the O is silent. Therefore, when the apostles spoke to Christ they called Him (ΙΗΣΟΥΣ ΧΡΙΣΤΟΣ), Ἰησοῦς, Iesous, or JESUS.

I listened to this at work while I was painting the walls. I'd rather listen to this kind of stuff than anything on the radio. It keeps me close to God, exactly where I need to be.

That's my story exactly. I feel a kindred spirit with Ezra. First time I heard it was shortly after I was born again and I didn't know I even was born again cause I didn't really know anything about christian doctrine. And I heard this and it was like god personally answering all my questions with power. I listen to it when I go to bed every night now. What a blessing to have books like these and people posting videos like this.

Don't take this in a weird way but ever since I've started listening to your narrations of these books, this book (Ezra) and the Lost book of Adam and Eve, there is this emotional sentiment that goes along with it. Maybe it's the conviction you read with, or the music choice that's so appropriate, I tend to tear up when I hear this version of the Book of Ezra because of the bittersweetness in which I draw from our current situation in history, and the End of Days, the final end of this painful world. Just because a name is used, doesn't mean that book is truly from that person. Ezra is in the Bible, and the Bible talks about Enoch. Some writings were not put in the Bible based on the fact that they were counterfeits, claiming they were from this or that person. Even the Roman Catholic church claims that Peter was a pope and put him with their ranks, but Peter was never part of their ranks nor was he ever a pope. Why not find out why these books were not put in the Bible?

For those of you who think "Well, Ezras ain't in my Bible, so it ain't true...": Where is the term "Bible" mentioned in the scriptures? Do you understand the history behind the selection process of biblical canon? It's not so cut and dry, and there has been intentional suppression of truth on several occasions. Please research the history behind the removal of scripture from history (especially I Enoch, Jasher, Jubilees, Baruch, etc.). The history of what ACTUALLY happened before the Flood is the "Rosetta's Stone" to scriptural interpretation. And yes, God allowed these things to happen. It is no accident that there is a worldwide divine revelation of truth happening right now.
It is important to understand that searching for truth in texts that were considered scripture for many years, AND also referenced in the "Bible" (ie. Jude quoting I Enoch, the Book of Jasher being referenced multiple times, etc.) is something that makes a lot of Christians feel uncomfortable. This is typically a sign of insecurity in their faith, not necessarily in God, but in the teaching of the denomination they associate with. It doesn't help that many pastors shy away from these topics (or outright lie). The "Bible" as we know it IS accurate (what we have of it), but has, over time, been intentionally and systematically made incomplete. The Ethiopian Tewahedo Orthodox Church is the only Christian church that can be traced back to the time of Christ, that completely escaped Roman Catholic influence. Coincidentally, their canon contains most of these suppressed scriptures (what about the history behind your denomination?). There has been a great deception over many years about what really happened before the Flood. Start researching that topic, and I will pray that your eyes will be opened to truth.

You are right, I am a seeker. Even when I want to turn my back on it all because what I am feeling inside about what I am becoming aware of is overwhelming, I am called back for more and some how instant clarity on the issue that is at the present time unclear. I have been challenged by an awakening for the past three years strong. I was afraid at times and there have been times that I think that I am losing my mind. I must thank you, this video brought me to an awakening. I have always had a connection to God (even when I thought I didn't). While watching this, and hearing the words and slowly connecting the dots throughout history and modern times, seeing how everything is connected, I felt shivers come over my body and tears came to my eyes and i fell flat on my face because i felt so unworthy of that presence. God is 100% real, and that experience during my listening to this video felt absolutely unreal, yet, very sobering, I have no doubt that what i felt was an angel or some kind of expression of God. and this is coming from someone who does not even consider themselves religious. The words in this book are 100% true. My deep thanks to you Flat Water. You are doing exactly what you are meant to be doing by making videos.

The first commandment, you should love God with all your heart soul and might and the second commandment HE said, love your neighbor as you love yourself, is Torah and if you do those two things all the other commands fall under them. You could never lie, steal, covet, etc., if you love God and your neighbor. Matthew 5:17 Jesus says “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.” The word fulfill means “to put into effect”. If he came to destroy the law then the passage would read “Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to DESTROY”. That makes no sense! It’s just not that verse alone. The Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5, Jesus’s big speech, is actually Torah and HE is quoting Torah verbatim! He is teaching Torah word for word! The problem in Jesus’s day was that man was not following the Torah (which shows you how to love God and your neighbor/brother) but made their own set of rules which is called the Talmud (Jews still follow Talmud today!) they were honoring God with their lips but their hearts were far from HIM! I quit listening to man and started reading the Bible myself and have ask our Father for HIS Wisdom. Ezra is an interesting character. It is written that he rewrote the Books of the Laws of Moses, after drinking a fiery liquid, after the original ones were destroyed. The first 5 being the Torah and the 70 esoteric apocryphal books that were sealed and also 2 Esdra. Ezra was also the scribe for the King Assurbanipal and he was hired to gather together all the oldest writings to be found and present them all in the library. He sure had access to a lot of Sumerian texts.
Ezra was given a cup and he wrote insightful books indeed I fear these were burned in the library of Alexandria in Greece the books important for these times is the holy bible and the story of jesus and the current events, if we find books like this outside the bible we must always have the bible first and analyze thos book to it.
