Just a chill day of plant care, with my not-so-helpful helper, Theo lol. Taking care of my balcony plants and pond, and giving you guys updates on projects going on in my apartment. I like filming these style videos because it allows me to naturally demonstrate practical plant care tips. I also like the idea that we're doing our plant care together lol. I often watch plant care vids while taking care of my plants, and I know a lot of you guys do as well. Hope you all are doing well! Also, have a look at my desktop wallpaper down below :)

Benji…. You have no idea how happy you make me. Every time you post I notice how much better my mental health is, I recently lost a loved one of mine. thank you. Your videos are so soothing. I love Chris and Theo and all your plants, they are such a big inspiration. Thank you thank you ☺️
Your life seems so calm and quiet... and so beautiful. Having anxiety among a lot of other mental illnesses and seeing your videos gives me hope that my life will one day be peaceful, too. 🤍
Yes yes exactly same !
Wishing u all good vibes, I find a lot of comfort in his videos as well
The same feeling.you expressed through the right words. 💞🍒🌹🌿🌳
I hope your life is so much more peaceful now
@@mindys5555 It's been a hard year, my friend. But I'm trying. 🤍
As a Gen Y who has always loved plants and 'Gardening Australia' tv show, it was considered "uncool" in my youth! So glad to see young people embracing plants. You will inspire a generation 🌱
Plot twist, little do you know Theo too has been watering the plants with his pee. I love watching your content and seeing all your beautiful plants. Have a great Sunday.
haha, pee is actually a very good fertilizer if it's heavily diluted. Perhaps that's why my creeping fig is starting to take off
@@benjiplant 😆 see he helps too.
I’m here just for a Theo. I love him 🥺 he’s the perfect pup for you. He is such a wonderful addition to your family. He’s so calm and well behaved. Please tell him auntie Jei said, “Your such a good boy Theo! I wove you!!!”
Benji's vibe, plant styling, and outfits remind me a lot of my grandpa - my favorite person ever, has great taste, stylish, and enjoys life and plants... HAHA!
bugs really love nasturtium, that's why a lot of organic vegetable growers use the plant as attractant. The bugs will stay on the nasturtium instead of spreading to other plants. The same for aphids. There is a potential for having spidermites on your other plants by removing your nasturtium.
I was going to say the same!
I'll probably replant some nasturtium around my balcony now that I know this!
Hii! I'm quite new to this channel, but already caught the passiflora fever. So i have bought one trifasciata and i choped it into 4,and now i have 4 gorgeous plants!!!! All thanks to you! ❤️Love from India.
They're so addicting and versatile. Sometimes I feel bad talking about them so much, but I honestly love it so much that it's hard not to talk ab it lol
I love your calming voice. So does Theo.
I can barely focus on the video Theo is so cute!
Your such a breath of fresh air🙏🏽💃🏾👌🏾🌿💜🌿💜🌿 i absolutely LOVE your videos Benji🙏🏽🌿🌺🌿💜
The struggle of not being able to decide if I want to watch this just chilling now or when I’m doing my own plant care ~ love having your videos on in the background. Thank you for sharing your routines and tips with us in such a fun and rejuvenating way :)
The joy of CZcams videos is that you can play them as many times as you want… I say do both 😂
I love your little giggle and interaction with Chris and Theo
i love your calming energy and positivity. theo is the cutest♥
Benji, you have inspired me to create a little jungle around my south facing kitchen sink with a velvet leaf philodendron, polka dot begonia (poisonous haha), southern maidenhair fern, prayer plant and some lithops. Much fun. Thank you for sharing your home and keep up the great work.
7:11 Theo: “gift for u 0.0 !” So cute
That’s a nice collection of dioscorea, I have only Dioscorea polystacha, aka. Chinese yam. It is really nice with cinnamon scented flowers but it grows a lot of bulbils! !
I think you might like Sinningia… they are caudex forming gesneriads ! The mini sinningia can be as small as a quarter, and some of the larger, drier ones can have really large caudex with fuzzy leaves and red flowers…
You and your garden are an inspiration to me as I am also a gardener and CZcams creator. I can see you put a lot of work and love into growing your garden! It’s amazing to see the new growth update. My sunflowers bloomed today it was amazing. I still have so much to learn and I appreciate all of your tips, tricks and advice that you share! Lets learn together as we grow together.
I heard that nasturtiums are great companion plants because they attract all sorts of pests so they’re the only ones that get eaten
I was just going to say that!
Thank you Benji and Chris for sharing your videos I love the way you decorate your place with lots of beautiful plant's, I'm also a plant lover so I really enjoy watching you guys and Theo is adorable he's such a good boy, love you guys. 😍🥰😁
theo is so adorable
your videos are like a warm hug, i look forward to them so much
Your videos are so calming and inspiring. You are amazingly gifted with plants, explaining your techniques and helping viewers see different ways of incorporating plants within their household. Chris does great with the filming and supporting your channel. Thanks to both of you!
I never get bored watching this channel, if you love plants this is your safe place !
I think, your channel developes into my favourite one. Like for so many others your videos manage to calm me in a way and it's sooo wonderful to listen to you talk about your passion- (also I learned quite a bit and got inspired!) Sometimes I replay your videos and just listen to them while working on the computer. Thank you so much for all the work you put into the videos and sharing all the little life and plant things. You really brighten my days. All the best and greetings from Germany
So cute and calm love all of your content!

So many beautiful plants, thanks for sharing your video clip
Amazing! Love the delicate passiflora vine. Also wishing you the best always!
Hahaha love how the pasiflora vine is everywhere, and looks so cute!
Nasturtiums are usually used a trap crops, they concentrate plant pets to itself rather than the “main plants”
I didn't know this! Very interesting. Is this a common practice for gardeners? Also, do you know other plants that might be considered trap crops? It's impressive how the nasturtium was absolutely infested with spider mites, but the surrounding plants and plants in the pot were untouched.
@@benjiplant yes this is common practice among gardeners, other trap crops are alfalfa, nettles, french marigolds, squash, and sun flowers. They all attract different pests to themselves. They’re used in organic pest control and in non-organic pest control, after they’re heavily infested they’re removed or sprayed with pesticides to hinder the spreading of said pests. I didn’t know about this until I took a course in human geography. Also, Love your videos!
As always a content with so much calming effect on me. Watching your videos is always so relaxing and as a plant enthusiast also I love how you take care your plants
ben
Such a wonderful relaxing video. Thanks. I Love that Mr. Theo 🥰
Your passion is great.
your house is turning into an amazing little forest, so cute
Nasturtium is used as a companion plant for crops … the pests eat up the nasturtiums over most other crops .. I suppose they are tender and delicious .. apparently the flowers have a peppery taste
The aespa posters I absolutely love to see it😖🫶🫶 luv your videos so much ty for giving us amazing content!!
This is so calming. Very nice 👍
it always nice to see your beautiful home
Your videos are very nice and calm
These are my favorite videos!
Im starting to fall in serious love with Theo
I just love when this channel notifications pop up to me
Hi Benji! Would you consider doing a Pilea pepperomides care video? You and Chris seem to have a knack for them! Thank you for sharing with us.

That monsteta albo😯 its looks quite healthy to be so heavily variegated !
YOU'RE ABOUT TO HAVE 200K!!
Hi your plants🌱 so cool😎
Very beautiful video 👍❤️
Would love it if you did a video about where you pick up different plants and favourite shops? Maybe only relevant to LA or California maybe USA... but I would benefit haha
I really like your videos they're very chill and just have a lovely feeling to them :]
You should put what music you have in the background of ur vids in the description 👀
Hey Benji! Nasturtium is actually used to attract spider mites and aphids and keep them away from other plants. That’s why the spider mites didn’t move to your other ones.
Chill Sunday watching! You mentioned some of your house plants are on the balcony. I live in Western NY and have an East facing deck, so bright summer morning sun. I put house plants out and they took a shellacking! Burned leaves; guess they are house plants for a reason.
They might need to slowly acclimate to higher levels of sun exposure. I'd recommend introducing them gradually or getting a shade cloth. Plants create their own "sunscreen" to absorb UVB; however, there's still a limit to how much sun a leaf can tolerate. It takes some time for the plant to develop the "sunscreen" if it was previously grown in household conditions. The houseplants on my balcony don't receive extended periods of direct sun exposure; it's primarily dappled or filtered light.
Theo is so cute 😩
I luv your small container ponds! Will you be doing a how to video for some of us beginners who want to give it a try? Thank u!
lovely 🥰
Hi Benji, Nasturtium are like plant protectors because they attract bugs so plants nearby are safe and they are sturdy enough to handle it without dying. Just so you know if you want to try it again =) Nasturtium and Ipomoea are my 2 fave seeds and they are very easy care.
Not sure if anyone else has said this, but nasturtium are often used as a pest preventative for more important plants/crops, as pests just love them!
Hi Benji, love your videos!!! It's just so calming and chilled! Keep up the good work. BTW, may I ask where you got the shade cloth? Thanks!
Good information 👍
Like balcony garden 🌱🌿🌾
I would love to see a vlog of a day from theos perspective 🐕
i'll search for a 2nd hand go pro lol
hey benji! i love your videos. is there a chance i could get any hints to where you buy your plants
Oh, no! I love nasturtium! Oh, well. You gotta do what you gotta do. Nice video. Love Theo!
Also, you are living the life I want. Hat tip, my friend.
Great💚💚💚
I had similar issues with my Nasturtium, but mine had black aphids! I did some research and found that Nasturtium is oftentimes used by gardeners as a decoy to lure pests away from more precious plants! Such a shame it’s a pest attractant because the leaves are unique and the flowers are so vibrant!
I just learned this from people commenting! Now I'm thinking maybe I should've left it, haha. I'll probably replant some on my balcony again, lol
My nasturtium hanging basket was covered in black aphids too until a spider decided to move into the pot and she ate every single aphid in like 2 days. I just let her live there now cause she keeps my nasturtiums looking beautiful!
Love your videos! Where did you get your black watering pitcher?
I would love for my plants to climb like that
Hi Benji, I saw your repotting video and noticed that you use notion to keep track of your plants water consumption. I was wondering if you’d be willing to share a template with us or show us how to use notion? I have so many plants now and figured notion might be a good day to keep track of everything.
Such a nice treat to wake up to your plant care video. I Love your videos! Where can I find the black mister/ spray bottle and the hose you use on your balcony plants? Your plants are looking so lush and beautiful. 💚 🪴
amzn.to/3RqqjOP Here it is!
I have a mini pond too and the water stays clear with a sponge filter it also adds oxygen for my fish. It's the best you should check it out
Love your channel and site! (And on the wait list for a Passiflora 🤩🤩🤩)
I'm restocking this Saturday at 10am PST! I've heard the waitlist doesn't always notify people, I'm working on trying to fix that
@@benjiplant marking my calendar 🥳
hey benji the green water is really good for rice fish because it contains phyto-plankton which are extremely good for babies and since you cant really feed them anything because their mouths are so small they feed on it thus creating a free food source but do do water changes to reduce algae but leave some green water it also replicates their natural habitat. just trying to give some advice. btw love your vids :)
Good to know! Although I think I need to separate the eggs from the bench pond... I haven't seen any babies even though I've seen countless eggs
Benji! Where did you buy the black mist flask/bottle? It looks of premium quality and just screams aesthetics. Loving it! 😍
Can you make a vid about your bench pond it’s amazing!
I love your videos so much! Thank you for sharing so much of your knowledge with us~ also: are you watering your deck plants with a shower head attachment?!
it's a watering wand from the brand Haws!
Hi… not sure if you have shared already- but can share pls where you ordered your “ spray”
for watering your plants? thanks a lot
Where is your monte carlo carpet in the pond? It was amazing. Why it isnt there?

Nasturtium is great as a trap crop in the garden.
