I am officially part of a Target Team.
Decided to pick up my phone and vlog some of this day for a good memory of my first day at Target.
This is my experience at my Target orientation and just trying to keep it all positive when speaking about it.
Definitely, a whole new experience since the process is completely different compared to my past jobs.
Hopefully you all enjoy and possibly for those new team members this shows what is expected for the first day at orientation. (Do not forget your 2 verification forms)

This was so helpful Veronica! I got hired today for seasonal guest advocate and I'm so excited. Unfortunately i have a condition where i may need to sit down for a few minutes occasionally so I'm worried about being on my feet for a full shift. But i will take it one day at a time. By the way, your braces are BEAUTIFUL (I always wanted them). Made such a difference ❤
I’m so glad this was very helpful. Definitely, recommend comfy shoes like an orthopedic style. At Marshall’s or Ross they have brands like adidas and sketchers to help with the comfort of your feet. Yes, just remember to breath and take your breaks 😊

Hey I’m new to your page I have my orientation tomorrow how soon after that they give you your schedule and also do you know what does fulfillment team member does ?
I was hired seasonal inbound. And they made me permanent. Because I work hard, coming from a construction background. I feel very happy every time I start a shift. Happy that this is just a post retirement, part time job. Because I can’t imagine many people would have a decent quality of life. Trying to make a career out of Target. Not saying that Target is a bad place to work. It’s actually a decent place to work. However If you are young, there is a lot more out there than this.
would they care if i dont have a red shirt atm and just wear a hoodie i have orientation in 2 hrs

Quick question I just got hired and on the cover letter it said the date of orientation but not the time or dress code am i getting another email or should i call?
I would definitely call Target specifically the HR Team to verify your date of orientation since they would know the answer.

I have orientation Saturday does it matter if I don’t wear a red shirt and do they require you to wear mask

Hi what do you wear for your first day? I got hired but am unsure what I’m supposed to wear. Including shoes. 😩
Just make sure you have a red shirt, jeans that are not tore in any way, and comfortable sneakers I use some black and white adidas.
What is the dress code for orientation? Mine is in a few days and they didn’t specify
so i have orientation on Tuesday, the called me & just said red shirt & dark pants. Hope that helps (:
Would you mind summing up the hiring process? They told me they’d email me the job offer but then told me to apply again. But congrats !!
They send multiple emails so make sure you check it frequently. Target usually sends an email with the job offer stating the position they offer you and ask that you send in a recorded video interview. Then you Wait roughly 48 hours then a new email sent congratulating you to join target team. Right after, you are sent info about documents needed to bring with you in orientation, given orientation day, and dress code. Hiring process went very quick. Thank you so much 😊

Did you have to complete a background check? Does having a clean background check mean I’ll get hired right after they see? How long does it take to come back?
Yes, you get sent an email with a link to complete the forms. You have 24 hours to complete and submit them after you accept the job offer. It stated that it takes 3 to 5 business days but mine happened quick and I got a clear the following day😊

When you went did you only take Ssn and passport?
I took my driver license for form of ID and SSN
Can you wear earbuds (listen to music) during your shift?
Unfortunately, you cannot like they will calm you out for it

Was your first pay in check or direct deposit ?
Unfortunately, it was in check. Definitely set up direct deposit with your leader or ask HR for assistance.
How many hours did you work per week? And on the first day how many? Thank you!
Hours per week vary depending on the store you apply too, department your in, and your availability. First day was roughly 8 hours and the lunch included. Hope this helps.

It was quite soon after orientation.
After orientation how many days after did u start ur first day?
Well orientation counts as your first day, I literally started that same week to get training

Got orientation on Friday.
My last day at my current job is Sat

I filled out a job application last night for my local target. Now I just wait. 11:26

I'm not giving up I just submitted a second job application.
@@RaquelNavasalso realize that experience matters, and availability! i was hired due to both of those reasons, i did about 6AM-8PM weekdays, 5AM-2PM sunday, 6AM-5PM saturday

@@Daezies23I'm in highschool and I put 1pm-10pm on weekdays while my weekends were 9am-9pm and I got a job offer. (But I did call HR to check up on my virtual interview.)

Is training online? For How long? And how long is orientation?
Orientation is in person. They will give you a day to show up and if I recall it is 8 hours with breaks and lunches too.
I finally got a job at target after trying for so many times I start April 17 wish me luck how was orentation for you

I believe it like was 7 hours with breaks of 15 minutes and a lunch of 45 minutes 🥰
How long did it take you to get paid after your orientation?
It was almost a week and a half cause they pay every two weeks

They did a simple background check but never a drug test.

It took me 3 years to get into target 🎯 I got hired permanent lol now the struggle is real getting transferred departments too but finally switching departments after a while 🙏🏻🥹
