- In this installment of @FullSizeFord we begin work on our 1967 Galaxie 500 2dr Fastback with a 390 cubic inch FE V8. First of all, we deal with a frozen right front wheel and then we'll explore the engine compartment to see what we have.

My grandparents had a '67 Galaxie just like that except it had a 289 in it.
Both the sedan and wagon versions of this body family were sprightly fun handling cars. A neighbor had one, friend had a wagon. Fairly good vibration and noise damping too! You will probably love this car as soon as the mechanicals are good......

The tire is so old the reason why there's two wheel weights on it was because it was bubble balanced! I bet you there's no weights on the inner side.
No weights on the inside would be a static balance rather than a dual plane balance.

My first car was a '67 XL coupe. Gold with black int. 390 2bbl. Auto. Bought for $1500 back in '70.
Those were the days!
I bought one of my 67s in 1989 for $350.00 Still have her today
Use a jack stand, cars are heavy!
Cut the brake line and un bolt wheel cyl from backing plate it will come right off
Just wondering if the engine turned out to be a PU 352 instead of the 390.
Believe it was the 390.
Ford did not put 352 engines in 67 Galaxies, they went from the 289 to the 390 2bbl engine
