Rt, I hope they bring back snipers you can use without heavy ammo, idk if they have already but I’ve heard you can only use them with heavy ammo. If it is, then I will be back playing again because D1 sniping was why I played that game, it made the game amazing. Also, If this expansion looks good, then I probably comeback and play it with my friends, but if it flops like the others have then I’ll save my money for the time being.
I believe this is a good step, the only thing that I think was a bad choice is the fact they made us pay for it. They’re basically saying, we screwed up, we’re coming back, but you have to pay for a better game! (But who wouldn’t love to have snipers in your second slot again?)

Victor, im not gonna lie, the first expansion could've been in the base game due to how little it actually added. The second expansion was more meaty and it was worth it standalone. This expansion looks to be what the Taken King AND Rise of Iron took destiny 1 to. I can only hope it lives up to what it looks like.

I wish this was the game at launch, but at least we have it now, especially with the rise of cheap monetisation in gaming. For once a triple A company is improving their game rather then driving it into the ground, this is at least a step in the right direction.

Honestly, this looks great, but why didn't Bungie implement random rolls, non-restricted weapon slots, the new game mode, collections, and everything else to the game from the start? Like others have said, it feels like this comes too late, especially considering the price tag.
I do love Destiny, but I'm not sure if I can give Bungie another chance after how bad they burned us with D2 at launch.
Because like a lot of MMO-style games, they made a bad assumption. They assumed there was this massive audience of "casual" players who would flock to their game if they made it "more accessible." Like every other MMO-style game that came before it, they found out the hard way that trying to attract that casual player drives away your dedicated player base, but also reduces the game to such a level that it doesn't interest casual players either.
Wade Williams that still doesn’t make it right that we have to pay 160 dollars just to get the game that should of released at launch.
All the system changes are being added to the base game the only thing you are missing out on is the new story and endgame activities if you don't buy the new xpac.
They had reasoning for the changes but have admitted defeat on their design choices and are now listening to the community for once.
This is how the game should have been at launch. Step in the right direction for what the community has been asking for, but it might be too late for most. Still no new enemies, just reskins that act different.

I think they probably were holding back for warmind so this one can be that much better. I think they did it in D1 too
I honestly don't mind, as long as there are new strikes. The story missions are fun, and it's nice to play them again in a strike format. My issue is when half the strikes in a DLC are recycled from the story. THAT makes it shitty.
Taken king may have been the best overall dlc but Forsaken is the best content dlc we ever got. We may never see so much stuff ever again.

Dude the price is right. For the Forsaken DLC alone it’s $40, the same price as Taken King and this is a Taken King style/size expansion. And you don’t have to buy the Annual Pass which is $30 for mini DLC/updates which is if you think about it, $10 per event/update/mini DLC. What were you expecting? It to be free? If so that’s not how business works. It’s costs to make games and content for it and it also costs to feed yourself, your families, and the families at Bungie

I hate to bring politics in but the democrat view of people wanting free shit and getting it ruined the way they view the world, the world that people actually work for their stuff instead of people working hard for other people while they get jack shit.
No one complained then because Destiny was a new IP and people were trying to give it a chance. All Bungie had to do was take what made Year 3 of Destiny good, put it into D2 and give us new gear with some additional changes.
