I snagged mine for $350 a few years back. Needed brake adjustment, a new carb/petcock, new battery, slimed the tires, and changed the oil/spark plug and it runs like a charm. Plastics have a few cracks, but for about $500 all together it’s been a steal.
I got mine from my grandpa for 100 bucks. All it needed was a carb, starter and a solenoid. I’ve went through water that goes up two inches below the top of the tire. I’m on stock tires too. It’s got 125 horse power and I will never let it go for more than 4,000 to 4,550.
Good looking quad! I recently bought a recon. I was thinking about replacing the original tires with something more aggressive. What size is on yours? Are they stock or larger?

One just came up for sale in my area that looks just like this green one for $400. They just posted it late last night!
Nice quad. I plan on picking one up for my wife. That one is in good shape.
Thank you. Very reliable ATV
@@BraapEffex That is one of the main reasons I like it.
Those recons are good bikes. I have a rancher 420 but that 250 is all I really need. I just use it on my property.
And they tow very well for the power I thought 250 would struggle but it seemed to do well
Definitely agree 👍
Got my wife a 2001 for 1800 bucks, just needs rear tires, really low hours n adult owned n very clean

Looking at a used Recon. Would a 250 be too small for a 225lb man?
What brand of tires are those? Are they Roadguider or Wanda? Just bought a 2005 Recon ES. Will need tires soon.
What size trailer is in the video?
Is that an aftermarket exhaust or stock? Sounds really good.
Stock Exhaust , thank you
How many years have you owned yours?
mine is a 250 from 1998 and i have the oil light....
