I have one and like the comment below about SSB about hearing a water trickling sound is true. I also get talkback into the speaker while transmitting. I'm not sure if the speaker I bought from eBay is defective or not, but it definitely doesn't work for my use on SSB.

Why have that part of the speaker when you can feed through a DSP to any type of speaker?

You need to let the recieve sit for longer on the audio samples to be able to differentiate between filter in line and filter out of line and also the affect of the varying filter levels. I'll admit the CW test was clearer and easier to listen too but on the audio it is very inconclusive.

2:01 that watery sound is apparent, that filter is useless for ssb, like the kenwood dsp from the 90s.
