No offense, but your review really doesn’t show anything. In order to show your viewers how effective this speaker is you need to show it in the DSP on and off mode, then compare it to a radio with internal NR. This speaker is amazing. I am not affiliated in any way with BHI, I am just a SWL and this speaker is incredible. I have a youtube video showing SWL with various radios and comparing the BHI to SYNC detection as a listening enhancement, and comparing the NR on an Icom 8600 to the BHI.
If you could have shown us with it on ,off and dsp ? Sadly we are left in the dark ?

@@madmax2069 They are expensive because of the DSP equipment in that little box! I have 1 and really like it. I use it on a couple different radios. Pocket change? Really? The ham part can be as cheap or expensive as YOU want it to be!

not too much if you have a radio and cant recieve nothing but electrical hum. ham radio is a very expensive hobby maybe you need a cheap hoppy
@@haroldtees8475, I've been a ham for 42 years and the prices nowadays for any Ham gear are very steep, I'm 69 & on a fixed income so yes $185 bucks for a speaker with "DSP" in it is still way too much. Maybe if it was at $99.99, that would be a better price that's reasonable.
There are HF SSB marine bands. I know ELISSA has a long wire antenna. I have seen an AH4 Icom tuner and Icom HF SSB on her.

If you want top quality radio then pay the big bucks but if you want to add dsp to a vintage radio than this good enough.
Those things work better then the ones in the radios
How about a test of the BHI products which look look square and are stand alone audio processors

Maybe a better test of this speaker's capabilities would be in an urban environment with RF noise, not at a field day campsite. Does anyone know how this unit compares to the Icom 7300 built-in dsp NR?
One of my granddaughters toddler toys would probably improve the audio quality of a 7300.

These speakers work great BUT are very RFI prone!
I had no RFI issues with this model in the field at Field Day, or other times I used it in the shack
The price is insane. No way I am gonna pay that high a price for a speaker for a radio. Nope ..To each his own.
