      Those boards exist - but I prefer this one because the problem with automatic boards is they always take longer to move the piece than moving it with your hand

    • @gamemak0r
      @gamemak0r Před 8 měsíci +34

      Making self-moving pieces/chess sets is very difficult and often the solution involves each piece having metal base or magnet and an electro-magnet (a magnet that can be switched on and off with electricity) will be inside the board moving to a piece, magnetically attracting it, then moving along the board.
      Overall it is a complicated and expensive solution that doesn't always look good because you have to create a system for the pieces like the knight which can jump over other pieces.

    This board might make short time controls unplayable due to the time spent physically moving the pieces. Even at longer time controls time scrambles would be very problematic. I have a chess up, I don't really use it. How do you take moves back against the AI and the bots?

    If you use this again in a video could you switch the black and white sides on the digital board on the side screen so that it matches what we see in the real board? :)

      I kinda liked to think the viewer perspective of black was better because it helped me visualize the opponent’s behaviors and mistakes better!

    In 8:15 isnt Bd5 winning material? Either a knight or a rook for a bishop, or am I missing something?

      Idk, but I think the opponent can just defend with Nd7 to b8

    But there is a piece missing. Why would they ship this without the duck, which is obviously the most important chess piece?

  • @AlanAC22

    That board is perfect to play duck chess, you need to buy a duck piece

    I dropped my screen one time and saw the third dimension... had to see it all the way to Walmart where I went to replace my fax machine of a phone.
