    I am not a fan of most tiny houses, but this design ranks among the top 5 that I have seen on youtube. The kitchen is huge for a tiny house and I really like having a separate bedroom instead of the usual loft. Excellent job.

      +JoeisCooking I think the goose neck trailer is a great option for someone who wants a tiny house but can't do a ladder daily.

      I agree. The loft even wouldn't be bad if there were small stairs. I love the bathroom and kitchen as well. Perhaps I would forgo the built in couch as they always look so stiff. And no, I haven't forgotten she needs a table for work.

    • @JQUICK21
      @JQUICK21 Před 7 lety +5

      @JoeisCooking - If It is not going to be on wheels I would spend the extra couple thousand and get a shipping container to add on, put a good floor in it and insulate it and use it as a walk-in closet and storage room, allowing for a couch/sofa that is comfortable with no need to have storage under the couch/sofa. Anyone can put a floor in a container and insulate it simply by watching videos here and Renting the needed tools to do the job. My thoughts and opinions and OK to disagree! LOL

      Patriot Jefferson - Ha! I was thinking just the opposite. That it is a better starter home rather than retirement home. At least based on the location. I wouldn't want to retire in the middle of nowhere where it would be hard to get to stores/hospitals/doctors as I got older. As far as the home itself I think it works equally well as either. Very practical, livable, beautiful home.

    This is a good book. Does provide a step by step introduction to how to build things czcams.com/users/postUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 , also does offer some steps. Includes pictures to give you ideas for layouts and such. If you are looking for a guide, this is not exactly what you want. But if you are trying to familiarize yourself with the way that pole barn building and other out buildings, are made, then this will work just as you need it to. A few things in this book are a barn (of course), detached garage, storage building, and coops.

    I watch tiny house videos pretty much every night before bed, I've seen thousands, and this is my absolutely favorite, and the most beautiful, tiny home I've ever seen. it is my ultimate dream to build one for my 2 kids and me and live off grid somewhere in the woods of upstate NY.

    I really like this! I feel the majority of tiny houses are a little too quirky for most people, it's a little intimidating - it feels exclusive. When you have a beautiful IKEA kitchen and can give a spacious feel to a home (and add some glamorous touches like beautiful tiles) tiny houses become more appealing to more people. A win for the customer and the environment! Thank you for posting.

      I can't comprehend why more tiny homes don't have baths. I've seen lots of bathrooms big enough. You can save square meters by putting your body diagonal with a corner bath. Smaller ones are 1300mmx1300mm. Not at all impossible in a tiny home. Then again I LOVE baths. I'd happily sacrifice 300mm or 500mm for one. Also, why do so many tiny homes have lofts instead of murphy beds? Surely its easier to pull down a bed, than climb a ladder? IDK, my vision of a tiny is single story 8.4-10meters long, corner bath and more generous bathroom, murphy bed for combined great-living and bedroom. Simply, mostly open plan. Maybe a fire if there's room. Kitchen against the wall next to bathroom, or as a corner, rather than galley kitchen. Maximize that open space. Lots of light. Could even make something like that wheelchair friendly with some planning, which I don't think is a stupid consideration given we all get old.

    I've looked at many, many tiny homes. Although this is by no means tiny (probably shouldn't be listed as such), I think this one is by far the best designed. The goose neck trailer makes this design the most livable, allowing fore an incredible kitchen; which most tiny homes sacrifice. GREAT JOB!

    • @tinyhouse1193

      At 323 square feet, this wooden structure built on a 5th wheel trailer most definitely qualifies as a tiny home. Some say under 400 square feet = tiny and some even consider under 1000 square feet a tiny home. I'm always curious about this type of comment. What do you consider the maximum size for a tiny house? How did you come up with that number?

    • @foolishbehavior9705

      Easy killer! I must not have worded my comment well. My meaning is that this house is unlike most others in it's more functional and welcoming design. I have NO idea what square footage qualifies as a tiny home, and more clearly, don't care. This one just stands above most others.

    this is hands down my favorite. I like the fact that it's more space without the two high lofts. it's great.

    Love this tiny house design, often what i find in some other tiny houses is they don't take into consideration that you need a good flow in and out of the bedroom. the bathroom is perfectly situated and has ample room to get dressed in. i wouldn't change a thing.

    Love the copper tile above the bathtub not to mention the window giving the owner a beautiful view while she soaks! The curved steps leading to the bedroom are a lovely touch. And I do love the idea of having a bedroom not in the loft area, the higher ceiling makes it much less claustraphobic. Also am wondering about where she parks her car and if there is any type of garage. I'd like to know the total cost..the house, labor, hauling and the cost of the land itself.

    It's lovely. People need to try to repeat that these are built to the homeowner's requests. They may not be your taste, but these guys do a great job with the finishes.

    This is definitely the best tiny house I have ever seen! I could live there in a heartbeat. Usually, the kitchens are too small, little storage, and bed only in loft - but this one works for me, especially that bathtub! I do have one question, however. What's with your hair? Did you just get out of bed or was that intentional?

    • @Sandyyyyyyyyyy
      @Sandyyyyyyyyyy Před 8 lety +7

      +Judith Neeley Rather than trying to find a look, embracing your natural look is what makes it amazing. It's natural to want to categorize people but I think people eventually find interests, habits and styles that suit them regardless of what's in style.
      Some could say tiny houses are trendy but if you're really passionate about it then the trend just happens to coincide with your interest and passion rather than the other way around.

    • @judithneeley5229
      @judithneeley5229 Před 8 lety +2

      Sandy G 323 Indeed. Each generation attempts to create their own identity/look. I should know, I was one of the original hippies in the Haight Ashbury, and can guarantee long hair, beards, etc. did not go over well with the general population back then. Many of us looked unkept on purpose, too. Between then and now, we had the Seattle Grunge look going around for a while, and before the hippies were the bohemians that had their own look. To each his own. I just didn't realize this guy had his hair styled this way on purpose!

    Most intelligent layout I have ever seen. All other tiny houses are so cookie cutter, I don't know how anyone could live in them for any length of time. This home is beautifully appointed, I believe I could live in one exactly like this!! Bravo, Nelson Tiny Houses!!

    I am IN LOVE with this house. I've definitely found my dream retirement home for my husband and I when that time comes (and trust me, I've been looking at a LOT of tiny homes... this one takes the cake by far!!) Extra loft if one of the kids falls on hard times and needs a place to stay (an absolute MUST in my book), and I just LOVE how the bedroom is separated from the rest of the living quarters. One person could easily sleep in, take a nap, etc. The only things I'd change would be minor personal preference and making it 100% off grid.
    LOVE IT!!!

      This is a custom house, so even if a price was provided it wouldn't apply to any other build.
      It all depends on your design, your finishes, your trailer cost, and many other factors. This house
      is 323 sq ft inside.

      Judith Kuykendall I actually emailed them a few days ago and a gent named Seth wrote me back right away (great customer service👌🏻😎)saying the last few years their houses seem to come in around 65k-85k, with this particular model coming in on the higher side and not including the price of the trailer. Hope that helps:)

      The carbon monoxide issue is probably why he says, that in his opinion, it's the most important thing that her woodstove has a fresh air intake.
      But it's actually more of a myth than an issue :)
      You can read up on the matter here, if you'd like to :

      +JustMargaret i think most wood stoves being designed for larger spaces overheat these smaller space very easily, and as such are inefficient, but like the man said the owner has alot of wood close by , many people do not.

      The wood I see nearby is pine. Not good wood for burning in a wood stove.
