Make Your Skin Soft With Avocado Bath Bombs!

- Moisturizing Bath Bombs Tutorial AVOCADO!!! Make Foaming Bath Melt!! Learn how to make an adorable avocado bath bomb + a moisturizing bath melt (the seed).
BATH BOMB: 1 cup (250 grams) baking soda, 1/2 cup (100 grams) citric acid, 1/4 cup (30 grams) corn starch + 10 milliliters fragrance oil, 7.5 milliliters polysorbate 80, & 5 milliliters oil or melted butter (I used avocado oil).
Sieve dry ingredients together. In a small cup, whisk wet ingredients + mica together. Add wet to dry very slowly while whisking. Rub mix between hands to ensure ingredients are thoroughly incorporated. OPTIONAL: Take ½ cup of mix & darken it for avocado "skin". Add 1 teaspoon sodium alginate to big batch (makes more bubbly) & ½ teaspoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate (or sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium cocoyl isethionate) to small batch (makes it more foamy). MOLDING: The bombs were all very easy to mold, except the hollow avocado. Make the mix a bit more wet (I added 5-10 milliliters polysorbate 80) & add a lot more mix to where the sides poke out (like thumbnail picture) to make the bomb more sturdy. Fill mold as usual, then place the other half on top. Push down with all of your weight! Dry for 24 hours. SEED BATH MELTS: 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/4 cup citric acid, 1/8 cup corn starch & ½ tablespoon sodium lauryl sulfoacetate + 15 milliliters fragrance oil, 15 milliliters oil or melted butter (I used avocado oil), 5 milliliters polysorbate 80. MOLDING: ** Make sure the size you use fits in the avocado!! I used a small scooper because it was the perfect size. Dry for 24 hours! SHINY COATING: Melt 28 grams of oil/butter (I used avocado oil) & 8 grams beeswax together on low heat. Emulsifying wax will yield a softer coating. Pour coating over melt at 200 degrees Fahrenheit (93 degrees Celsius). *Coating acts differently poured at a different temperatures; hotter temperature: the coating soaks into melt. Colder temperature: the coating dries too fast, thick, & leaves drip lines. ***If coating is too thick or uneven, gently blow it with a heat gun. ASSEMBLY: Place a bit of “coating” at the bottom of avocado, then place ”seed” on top & gently push down. ** I thought this was an avocado mold, turns out it's an egg mold! That's a blonde moment for sure!

I've never heard of avocado powder, but will look into it. Any ingredient that's been dried & turned into powder is just as good in my opinion... Plus, that would make the bath bomb less likely to go bad or to rot, etc. So GREAT JOB BOO!! Wonderful idea!!
