I'm so amazed with all of the VAs!! They were so amazing with the different emotions. I was so moved 😭 I still feel like crying whenever I remember "Hydro Dragon Hydro Dragon don't cry."
I have to agree. As a JP voice purist since 1.0, the Fontaine EN va’s really blew it out of the park for this quest. A lot of the direction for JP just didn’t fit the characters quite as well as EN (JP Neuv has a rly soft friendly tone even in the more demanding scenes, JP Furina doesn’t sound as dynamic with her personalities as EN, all in my opinion ofc) and I played the entire archon quest in EN for the first time, bravo.
Navias EN Va is massively underrated in act 2 her monologue against neuvilette was so good and here too, you can hear her emotion and voice shaking it’s so good :(
i know people are mad at paimon for not taking the hint/not being able to read the room with navia but in her defense, it's not that she's ignorant to her struggles nor is she oblivious to melus and silver's fate but rather she doesn't want to believe they're gone as a possibility paimon has the pureness of a child, the last thing she wants to assume is the death of their friends and acquaintances (which is actually showcased earlier when paimon refused to think of the possibility that navia might be dead when arriving in poisson) this is further backed by the traveler choosing to give words of condolences instead of reprimanding paimon, and the fact that once the reality settled in, paimon was shaken up and began to panic, asking what they should do even though it's obvious that nothing can be done all in all i totally understand where people's frustration comes from, but instead of empathising with paimon and understanding where her heart is at that moment, they vent their grief and anger at someone who has a reputation for processing information slowly, lashing out at her i just think that's kind of sad for paimon's sake since i'm always patient with her
Plus, from a meta perspective, it explains the situation to players who don’t understand subtext. The “Genshin players can’t read” stereotype exists for a reason.
@@zacharygilmore1075 yup, as much as i agree it does take away a bit from the quality of the execution of the story, genshin is a game that wants to and does in fact appeal to a very large demographic of people, it's not a focused story where it's confined to certain genres and only ppl who love those genres can enjoy it
