What a nice guy. I was brought here by spinning BST2 for the umpteenth time as I just scored yet another lovely UK pressing. It is *still* used by many service techs for testing turntables due to it's ultra-clean production job! And as a big Gentle Giant fan it has always struck me how closely their debut resembles BST2, mainly in the instrument tones and production but sometimes in the musical approach also.

Bassist here. I learned the entire 2nd album when I was 12. Timeless, great music. Thank you!

Nice clip! It was nice to hear that CSNY and BST hung out a bit at Woodstock, especially since Jim had played with Buffalo Springfield for a good 5 months or so.

Jim was at the center of the scene! Tim Buckley, Frank Zappa, Buffalo Springfield, BST...

Loved BS&T’s 2nd LP! My sister bought it when it came out but it wound up in my bedroom. “Sometimes in Winter” & “God Bless The Child” were my favorite tracks. Jim Fielder was great on that LP.

Agreed! Dig Jim's bass solo on "Blues Pt. 2"

Everyone knows that the band’s performance at Woodstock wasn’t included either in the movie or on the record.
It wasn’t until a year ago that I found what was filmed that night posted on CZcams.
The video quality isn’t so great, but the band really delivered.
I think BS&T, Santana, Hendrix and The Who were the best of the bunch at that festival.

Are they talking about 2 or 3? James Taylor 's song is on 3.
