    Hey Brother! NONE of your videos are boring or are ramblings on. We all cherish this channel with you and your expertise. And I soooo agree with you when you said being stuck with a truck payment on a new $80,000 piece of JUNK! I call them a 4-door minivan with a short box attached to it - because that's just what they look like! And of course-CANNOT wait til the next vid, take care brother.

    There comes a time with old trucks where the list of things worn, broken or wrong is long,
    it's a fork in the road for the trucks fate. It either gets pounded to death or someone puts the effort, time and money in
    to bring it back to as good as it can be.
    Good for you man!!!
    That truck couldn't be in better hands!

    Hi from Sweden!
    Just started subscribe your channel. I'm a big big fan of old ww2 US vehicles. A buddy of mine have plenty of them, all in absolute perfect condition. Willys jeep Dodge Gmc St.bakers Diamonds and alot of other fun stuff. Brought out from Norway when the military there finally sold them in the early 90s. Back then you could purchase a tip top GMC for peanuts.
    Fun to see how you bring this ol' dinosaur's back to life, how you manage to improvise when it almost seems as a dead end, and humble by the fact that you are so young but still understand the value in this old stuff.

    That is a very nice ride. My buddy has ran mid 90's ford trucks for last 25 years in the northern rust belt. If you want rockers to last he had a great trick where he would drill a couple little holes in top of them and squirt a tube or two of grease in. Little wire feed action to seal holes and splash of paint and you would never know it. They will weep a little over time but are basically self rust preventing and wiping off a little grease residue on bottom once a year for a nice shine is better than rust.

      @BackyardAlaskan  Před rokem

      Thanks! Luckily we don’t use salt here and it’s a pretty dry climate, so no rust thankfully. But that is a neat trick! I’ll have to remember that.

    That is an amazing truck! Take us for a ride in her when ya get the shifter parts. I had, I think it was a 1995, very similar to that truck. F250 XLT regular cab, 5 speed manual diesel. The truck was red and had the heavy duty front and rear axels. I bought it new, a towing company ordered it and never bought the truck. That truck would plow snow in 2 wheel drive with the spreader in the bed. Everyone would tease me and tell me I was gonna clean the paint off her. I kept the truck as close to new as I could. I have a 2011 F350 XLT 6.7 diesel. Bought it used from a good friends estate, after he passed away. I hear the same crap from my friends, I’m going to wash the paint off of her. I love to get her dirty and make the truck look new again. Thanks for sharing.

    That is a legend of a truck and to have you as it's new master it will live for a while yet. Not at all boring this video, I enjoy all the content you put out and a truck tour works for me. I had a 1976 F100 here in Australia, 351, 4spd that was a bit unloved when I got it but a few dollars, some time and she served me well for a few years, drove as a 3 spd mostly and was easy to float the gears, only rear drive but with aggressive tyres and a locking diff went where I needed to go and would pull like a tractor.

    That really is a great truck, especially in that configuration, 7.3 powerstroke, 5 speed 4 wheel drive. The fact it is so clean is just a bonus. I agree with you that it is better to find a good older truck and put some money in it than dump money in a new truck. I always thought if I won the lottery instead of buying a tricked out new truck I would buy a couple of old Ford hiboys and restore them to better than new and drive them. I think years down the road you're still going to be loving that truck.

    Years ago I bought a 68 scout and did just that.. it ran and drove when I got it but the front ring and pinion were messed up as a previous person slammed a stump with ITIN the woods. Lucky I bought another scout with a plow on it and they had the same gears. So the gears and plow went on mine..✌️
