  • In this video I’m announcing that I’ve signed up to run the Farnborough Half Marathon on 22nd January 2023. This is the intro video to my new half marathon raining series.     Good luck with your HM goal Chris. You don't have long to train but with some hard work you could do it. I suggest doing some core work, as a stronger core will help your back issues.
    I will happily make a donation to your Breast Cancer cause. I am a survivor myself. I had an operation 15 months ago. I hope your mum is continuing to do well.

      Sorry to hear that but pleased you’re a survivor too. My mum is very doing well, she’s been clear for over 20 years plus

    I think you will smash this one Chris. Just need that block of training for confidence. I’m predicting sub 87 and possibly a bit quicker if you put that Go Pro down. I’ve got NE Cross Country Championships in South Shields on Saturday followed by two fell races over the new year, cross country again on Jan 7th and a 10 miler on the road on the 15th. Hoping for some warmer weather trying to train and race in - temperatures is a pain.

    Think you generally have a lot of speed at moment but you'll just need to safely build volume at low intensity in 6 weeks, reckon you'll be fine completing it but it's whether you have enough time to PB as those 1:20s times need many weeks of solid mileage, all the best buddy!

    Have you got a plan mapped out? peak millage, workouts etc?

      To be honest since I’m returning from injury I need to just see what my body can handle and play it by ear, whilst sticking to the 80/20 rule. 6 weeks isn’t really long enough for a true plan
