Had a lot of fun with the Rival 700 but so much fun getting back to making interesting ads :D What do you guys think of the Manta spot?
Do u think the steelseries sensei raw is good for minecraft?
I have a friend that is interested in the mouse
Unique advertising for a unique case :)
You really don't need that good of a mouse for MC, the Rival 100 is a cheap, good option.
I like it because it is creative and you can interpret it 👍
Is this nice worth the money for games like cs and minecraft?
Fuckin minute long product placement? Seriously
but its... seriously fun :D
yeah so dont...seriously be an ass
not to watch
Fucking skip it? Seriously
You should have seen the last video. Full on start to end giant ad about some random creepy banking software. :')
[Unoriginal Vibrator joke]
+MacDoodle the second eye looks screwed up
MacDoodle i don't know, it's still the same. the first eye is connected to the curved line above it, but the second one has a small space
MacDoodle ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
I'm sure 12 year olds find them hilarious.
[over-sensitive reaction]
More mice need this and it needs to become an all automatic feature like in controllers.
They should make one called the Rival 600 that has all the same features minus the silly screen. Would address some of the weight and cost all while still keeping the good stuff. Nice review.
Exactly! But i see where Steelseries is coming from since they already have more standard and bare-bone mice with great sensors/shape/buttons so trying something new with these gimmicky features is a positive, especially based on market feedback.
Man 100 is just to much I love my Steel series rival and it was like 30 I Def agree
This is true. Innovation drives the industry forward. I have two of the original Rivals (one at work, one with my laptop) and a Rival 100 on my home desktop. They are great mice but the 700 is likely one I will pass on until later. Thanks for the reply and content.
but they do have the rival 300 which does not have an screen or vibration but just a great sensor and build and is cheaper
Man do i have news for you.
I want vibration on a mouse, but for a completely different reason. Imagine you want to resize a window, instead of hunting for the visual indicator of the edge of the window it'll give you a bump. Drag a window to the top/side of the screen for Aero snap, gives you a bump. Stuff like that would be really useful once you get used to it.
Ubr a genius N this is the future of haptic feedback for mice
Holy shit that is a genius idea. Better put that into use before someone steals it and puts a software patent in it😂
@@m.i.c.h.o i dont get it.. explain
@@sykokat Instead of looking at your screen for when something happens, like when you resize a window, it gives you a little haptic click like on an iPhone or a console controller. It'd be satisfying and once you get used to it, it could speed up work times and be a nice quality of life feature.
@@m.i.c.h.o they already stole his idea and added it to smart phones
That ad spot was awesome!
It was cool, but it was a little long. Also i am amazed you are verified at 41K subs. Lol no offense but i thought the number wasa alittle higher
It's not based on subscriber counts.
That's ok, now you have 250K :P
@@NirHason Now he has 1.4 million lol
@@betaflame3418 no its 280k now
Amazed as always with the ad. So well made :))
gotta love that intro
Does it come with that Nic Cage gif?
LOL
Yes
Asking the real questions right here.
LOL
You can download the GIFs on their website. You can use any give as long as it has the needed resolution.
I'm sure dimitri had some fun with the vibrating feature after filming...
Well... i mean your mind wonders right...
😂😂
Dimitri obviously isn't gay so why would you say that :p
thank you Stan, for a sentence that I probably wouldn't have seen otherwise in my life
holy shit my sides
Stan Edwards ....
Really innovative design, the vibration features make the mouse unique and very functional.
When i was teenager, i disassembled PS dualshock to get vibration motor and put it in my mouse and connect to mouse1 button so it should vibrate on every click. I could not finish the work on this idea, because, you know, i was teenager and i was lazy =))
lol
I put LED inside my mouse before you could buy mice with LED inside... :-D
"vibration is subtle, without effecting my aim."
As he uses an entire clip of 5.7 at an enemy, crouching almost standing still. 5:57
the vibrator wasnt even on lol
This is kinda cool. I switched from console to PC about a year ago, and I was always used to the controller vibrating when things happened in game. You just don't get that on PC... until now.
A vibrating mouse?!
Razer: (heavy breathing)
Why? I don't get it :(
lol the only alert i need in csgo it that i have the bomb, it's so anouying when you get to the perfect lurk position only to relise you have the bomb... and get killed on the way back
+Omna Aggvin lol so true!
HardwareCanucks I totally agree man. Except I play entry frag awper, I have bomb and no one pushes with me............I should put a notification for when my team dosnt push with me....
Omna Aggvin hahahah same problem
You clould prooobably adjust it to that as well, not sure tho...
to add to your review, I have a rival 700. I had to RMA my first one because the left mouse button was broken and wouldn't hold a click down. The mouse also totally freezes if you use and sort of rapid macro. It's extremely frustrating when you're in a game and the mouse completely dies.
You make the best videos on YT! Love your intros! :)
I wouldn't mind having one of those NZXT TVs.
it's a fucking pc
I also thought it was a TV, especially since the "old movies filter" was used in the promo.
+thatrealtime gamer Its actually a case you fucking idiot. Take a joke you brainless swine
thatrealtime gamer calm down and breathe. We know it's a "CASE" (not pc). The running joke has been about how it looks like a CRT.
Honestly, that's what I thought in the first scene and was very confused...
you can use the keyboard as an hp bar and this mouse screen to keep track of ammo along side disabled ui on screen ...that can be a nice idea for a special gaming experience
Good old HWC mouse review. Thanks Dmitry and you know why I thank you
Ive actually thought about something like this for a while. I think it would be awesome if they came out with gaming keyboard and mice that have vibrations that they could just tie into whenever an xbox controller would vibrate for example. I think it would be a neat little gimmick that I would go for.
Another cool idea I think for gaming keyboards would be keys that have realtime feedback depending on how hard you press down on the keys.... for example this would be awesome for a game like GTA 5 or any game like that like watch dogs or whatever where you could press down the key for acceleration on the gas and the harder you press the more you accelerate. It really sucks having to pretty much just rev your engine up and down to change speeds when youre playing with mouse and keyboard with games like that.... Itd be the same idea as with triggers on controllers and depending on how hard you press down on the trigger the faster you go....
I really am amazed that this stuff doesnt exist yet./
There is actually an analog keyboard in the works, I forget the name but I remember seeing it on NCIX Tech Tips. I think its kinda cool :p
Exiled Storm thatd be awesome
love the intro bro! nice as always!
Very good for console player for switching to pc
How so?
Because console controllers have haptic/vibration feedback.
+The Echelon Go on... I've yet to see a reason why that would benefit console gamers.
***** Because they are used to the feeling/experience it offers... It gives an extra dimension that will enhance the experience. In other words, it is a feature that otherwise will be missed since they are so accustomed to it. Having the controller vibrate while firing a weapon in game is pure bliss. For me just using a mouse is too vanilla. If you feel differently about this, well that's fine by me. This is a matter of personal taste after all.
Zightz When I built my first gaming pc like a few months ago switching to pc was super weird. Getting used to the keyboard and mouse was hard enough but you dont realize how hard you rely on vibration and hap-tic feedback to alert you of things like being shot in games that dont have or have very little visual ques (like if youre getting shot from behind and dont know it) some games only have your health lower and maybe a faintly red area in the direction of the attack but not all games do. So I found I was constantly not realizing I was getting hit or wasnt far enough behind cover cause I relied on vibration to know.
that intro commercial just earned you a like. You're skills are off the chart.
i bet female gamers are going bonkers over this new mouse.
Comedy™
Guys can enjoy some....nice vibrations as well, damnit
MacDoodle mmmmmm wimotes mmmmmmmmmmmmm
get a mouse that can do both ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
***** Exactly! You're getting it.
Massive missed opportunity here, I would have liked to see them set the mouse up to accommodate vibration similarly to an addon controller (X360, XBone or other) as most games already have that integration built in. That would allow the mouse to show the vibration part of the mouse as a controller allowing you to turn on vibration in the game and have it come through the mouse as if it were a controller in itself (similarly to the linear keyboard showed off at computex I think)
you just talked me into cancelling my order.
why
loving the amazing creativity!!
I've been waiting on this for years.
A russian who plays CSgo. How original
RUSH B CYKA
+Bob rush mid you noob
+Bob NO STOP
If all Russians were as nice as Dimitri I would be happy.
All Russians are called Dimitri.
Perfect video quality man.. keep up the good work : )
That manta advert was dope af
I think the display would be very useful for LAN events, because you can put your name on the side to make it easily identifiable.
THAT HAND INTRO THO. AMAZE.
You can actually change lift-off distance. Its in the mouse settings, hold the button near the scroll wheel.
There is just one word to describe your videos: Quality.
i have the rival 710 and i use the display to view my computer stats, like cpu temperature and things like that, it's actually pretty useful!
Haha, love the intro ! Very creative on that one
I remember when I was 10 looking for a vibrating mouse for my games and I didn’t like what I saw on Amazon
Lol
Strange that we dont have more force feedback mouses. It adds to the immersion when using a controller and probably would do on a mouse also. I remember back in the day I had the Logitech iFeel mouse. It was awesome in Black & White that had full support for it :)
i agree with you conclusion about the screen, and I think it will help the mouse to become lighter too
an other way to focus more on the crosshair is by playing 4:3 resolution or 4:3 streched.
hud is closer to the center of the screen.
and you still have to look at the minimap anyway
Haptic feedback is actually pretty cool. I can see this for example in War Thunder, when your tank/plane explodes, it'll vibrate the mouse a bit.
If anyone says "whyyyy", don't you remember rumble packs on controllers?
thinking about buying this mouse, is it a go or no go?
Vibration would be cool for ammo. In a clutch situation you really don't want to be wasting time on ui, and it is important if you have low ammo do decide if you are going to reload or swap to pistol.
That's a sweet mouse, I might actually buy that
Without consider the extra stuff you prefer on price-quality the steelseries 700 or zowie?
I want an edition for single player games with big vibration! So the aim gets effected and its getting way more immersive!!!
Wow, your videos are made so amazingly good. :D
I legit thought that the case in the opening ad was an old crt tv for a second, I had to re-watch to see what I "missed."
I think ditching the display, is a definite yes. If they added a feature to link the vibration to a games sounds, that would be awesome. So when you're firing a gun or experiencing an explosion you have haptic feedback. Combined with the Wooting one keyboard, this could make for some very unique experiences.
the promotional videos of this guy is in another level
I like the ads... He actually makes them fun.
Will this be your main mouse now ?
If I were a big tech company, I would always turn to Dmitri to make an awesome sponsor clip.
is the vibration only on the orange spot on the left, or is it the hole míce? And if it is the hole mice does it shake the aim?
Tactile feedback was introduced in Logitech mice many years ago. I remember I bought one in 2002 (ifeel mouse).
So the idea isn't new.
I haven't heard of this until now and I really do wish this was more common. I was playing Mass Effect: Andromeda the other day and decided to give an Xbox One controller a try. Movement felt a bit more natural, but aiming and combat felt so clunky compared to keyboard and mouse. However, the one feature on the controller I loved was the vibration. I had to give up vibration for more accurate controls.
Rare to see one, but not the first!
Had a Logitech iFeel myself that had vibraton. Wasn't supported a lot in games, but Unreal Tournament had support atleast. Flak Cannon vibrated like mad!
Released around 2001, so 15 years ago :o
Better not leave that mouse home with bae....
so what are the 2 small little orange things on the thumb rest? are they buttons or something... what are they?!
Let's take a moment and appreciate the quality of this video
Can you set vibration after certain distance travelled by the mouse?
Whats the difference between the 700 and 710 version?
When will you review the FK1??!!?!
not sure what mouse to get, i currently have the deathadder 2013 and i find it to be great but when i build a new pc i want to get a new mouse and keyboard. but that wont be for a while so no hurry yet, who knows what kickass mice will come out by the time that i will finally upgrade
Steelseries: makes mouse that vibrates
Gamer girl:*heavy breathing*
i wish more mice were like my g700s in terms of button amount and placement
Looks amazing but I'll wait for gen 2
does the mouse vibrate on any game or just certain ones?
I think the headshot counter and gadgets like that are cool for checking in between rounds
I like the ammo gadget, feels like your mouse is your gun :D
Alex Cirino yea thats pretty dope.
Interesting, wonder if the mouse could vibrate from sound of footstep in csgo that would give a damn good advantage
When you're losing and look down to scratch your head, you can look at your mouse to see how much you're losing. 🤣
I just liked because of the ad. Awesome!
i just cant believe this hasnt been done until now
What is your sensitivity in csgo and what DPI is on your mouse?
I am really hoping Steelseries brings this back soon maybe this year in 2023 or 2024. I am a console gamer moving to PC but I can't find a gaming mouse with rumble. Steelseries is a quality brand and the only brand I trust with this. I know gaming with rumble on PC is stupid but I really enjoy playing games with some rumble to be more immersed in the game. Perhaps they can make a software that lets us customize how it vibrates or to completely disable it. Imo I think Steelseries should introduce haptic feedback and make this wireless for a comeback. A lot of console gamers are moving to PC because of nvidias 4090 gpu release and this seems like the right time to see it return.
Did you change your lens?
can you set the mouse to vibrate with every shot fired?
gonna use this to make my lower body feel good
have you ever tried the rival 300 for cs go it has a similar shape as the rival 700
what are those two orange things on the left side?
Hi, almost 2022 now. Noticed this video was mixed a bit on the quieter side.
I miss the Logtech ifeel mouse
wich one si better? rival 600 or rival 710?
As far as the screen goes isn't it just like RGB where it just makes it look cool if you want? I think that's pretty cool tbh and I wish more mice had that
First thing I thought of, great vibrator
The Logitech iFeel mouse did this already a long time ago. The feedback that is. Remember it was quite cool in original Unreal Tournament. Though it worked like rumble feedback in a console controller.
Cant you just bind the vibration to the left mouse button? Just to feel the shot for instance?
Dmitry, are you ever going to build a custom watercooled system? I think with your eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, you can build a pretty good looking PC.
Should I get this or the rival 300? I mainly play csgo
vibrating when you get a kill, or at any point after leaving the spawn area during a round of CSGO must be distracting or bad in other ways...
i see it very usefull in games like world of warcraft raids, notifying you when you have to move out from stuff or when you have to refresh DOTS, HOTS or Pots.
tht ad was so good i didnt even skip it :^)
Can you set it to vibrate when shooting?
can you use the vibrations of simple haptic feedback
I have an old Logitech ifeel? mouse or something, it vibrated too not sure if there are any drivers for it anymore, its pretty ancient.
The filter for the intro scene is conflicting. You have an old timey theme, but the filter you used in post is like that of a security camera. Find a more tan or brown square image filter for Premiere CC, or maybe have one that creates the old timey flicker effect. Like, what;s used in the bioshock infinite scenes where they explain the vigors.
I kind of want one but I need a few more side buttons than that.
