Well that's not gonna work. Learning all the time. What she said, nice knob! IMO brown knobs will look like nice old Bakelike to match the brown frame if you choose to repaint in that color. I can not understand why your channel does not have more subs! You make me giggle. I envy your ability to find these Gizmo-Matics and restore them back to life. You appear to enjoy these challenges and I certainly enjoy watching! Like you have said in the past, make it your own. IT WILL look better than the original. One of a kind .Yay!
Love the Channel, over here in the UK many years ago there was a device which was basically a mug with a heating element which worked on 12volts dc which would make a mug of coffee using a car 12 V supply, this could be about the correct size for the boiler, if you could ever find one ! Keep up the good work Robert
Ok, maybe it's taken a week for you to get this far, but for those of us watching in CZcams Land I can attest that I've had fun watching! That Heater Element... well, I can't offer up any suggestions, but at least we aren't in the UK and trying to play with Esbit Tablets! Seems like Parliament is requiring anyone trying to buy Esbit to get a license first! Will keep an eye out for your next installment on the Donkey Engine... I wouldn't be too concerned about the knobs matching if you decide to just clean the engine up as opposed to making it all pristine and new looking... sometimes the looks of an engine that is serviceable and operational has a charm all it's own even though the colors clash.
I agree with the engine and winch, but I would,, as a matter of opinion, respectfully disagree with the black base, because Patina is all well and good but there are massive bare areas on the base that I find distracting

I'd love to know that too. like hen's teeth, some of them, surely?
don't repaint the engine. just clean it, touch it up where necessary with colour matched paint. great video
