  • Since I last used the RN-24 nuclear device, a year ago, I find the blast now destroys the delivery Mig-21. Trucks survive at 3nm, but the aircraft is vaporized at 7 nm. making it completely useless. Over shoulder attack method is used. Further testing showed that any plane within 12nm would be instavaporized, which is clearly wrong.. Update: The nuke control panel has now been removed, making it completely unusable. Maybe the new owners of the Mig-21, are trying to tell us something!

Once the bomb was loosed, roll over, CLIMB, not DIVE, since DIVE may bring 'speed', but at the cost of TIME.

The profile I'm using, is direct from the Mig-21 manual, for an OTS nuclear attack. After release, continue the loop until diving at 25 to 30 degrees, roll upright and increase speed at full AB, to gain a separation of 10 km from the blast. Whatever profile you use, it is now academic, because the launch panel has been removed and with it the ability to drop the bomb.

He's right. Even the USN doctrine for an A-4 over-the-shoulder nuke attack is the same, continue through vertical into a half Cuban Eight (loop into a 45° dive, level off at treetop level).

    good demo of the nuke.

Welp, I guess that's one way to dissuade a nuclear conflict... :P
You're right, though, 7nm range should not risk an instakill. Not even from thermal and radiation effects.

It's supposed to need a 12nm safety zone..
