  • Welcome to Tennessee! We’re doing it again because last time didn’t go so well (IYKYK). And we’re starting in Bristol, Tennessee! I mean, Bristol, Virginia. Wait…which one is it? It’s both!
We’re exploring both sides of Bristol (the city that lies in two states). We start by standing on the state line so we can be in two places at once, exploring some downtown murals, and then head to get some delicious pastries and coffee at Blackbird Bakery.🧁
Next, it’s off to visit South Holston Dam and I know what you’re thinking…that sounds kinda boring, well it’s not. This dam is HUGE, encompassing over 7,600 acres. And the coolest part is that we got to drive across the dam that stands over 285 feet tall! 👀
It was such a beautiful day that we decided to stop by Steele Creek Park and do a quick lap around a pond where we saw SO many turtles and fish jumping about. And Riley enjoyed the fresh air and exercise. 🐢
Now on to something a little spooky…Backyard Terrors and Dinosaur Park. To be honest, being that this was a roadside attraction in someone’s backyard we weren’t expecting much but it BLEW US AWAY. Like seriously, we felt like we should’ve paid an admission to be here. There was so much to explore and more lifelike dinosaur sculptures than we could count. You could easily spend an hour or more at this spot. And it’s dog friendly! 🦕
We ended our awesome day with some great BBQ from Delta Blues in downtown Bristol! Yum yum! 🍖
We hope you enjoy this weeks video and as always please remember to like, comment, and subscribe. We’ll see y’all somewhere! ♥️

I love a good dam video and especially your dam comments!
One thing that is often overlooked when a manmade dam is created is what is the history of the area that will be flooded. In the case of the Tennessee Valley Authority work, according to their website, "beginning in 1933, more than 69,000 graves were investigated, and over 20,000 graves were relocated. TVA moved the graves from areas that were to be flooded and from isolated sites to comparable burial places nearby. The removal was done in accordance with state law and the wishes of the next of kin." For this project specifically, 559 graves were relocated.
Fascinating video with so much information and content. Keep up the great work!

That's why I (Andrew) isn't a fan of man made lakes haha. Ever since the movie "O Brother, where art thou" I know what's under lakes like that. I'm not surprised there were so many graves moved from this location, lots of small communities had their old cemeteries in these hollers.

Never heard of this town, let alone knew that it was in two states. Super cool!
The baked goodies looked delicious. 🤤

It was a really fun town to tour, a lot of people come here for the NASCAR races at the speedway but there's so much more to do. The baked goods were beyond incredible y'all. The dino place was so fun! We were in awe on how complex this all was... in someone's backyard lol
