this is so far the best tutorial I've seen regarding opening a 360 S. I'll buy a can compressed air and a t10 screwdiver in a few weeks so I can open and clean my console

NOTICE FOR ALL OF THOSE THAT'S HAVE PROBLEM ON REMOVING THE BACK PART "TRICKIEST PART" IT'S SUPER HARD WHEN YOU FOLLOW WHAT HE DO, YOU MAY NOT SEE IT BUT THERE'S A "HOLE" THAT YOU CAN INSERT SOMETHING TO PUSH THE LOCK AT THE SAME TIME HOLDING THE OTHER ONE IT'S HIDDEN UNDER THE STICKER.

So I have a strange question, what would cause the hard drive to not want to come out? I pulled it but I can never get it to release. I'm wondering if mine is just broken. And yes the Xbox does work
sounds like the caddy release clip could be jammed.
I honestly feel like it would be easier to dunk it under water and let it dry out for a year
How in the world did you do this without giving it a scratch
Did you know it is possible to remove the side bracket with the chrome ring and keep the plastic welds intact.
at the time i recorded this, i didnt.
I will say it was a b**** to remove but it can be done

@@R_T_Ralphfun fact I just realized that I broke the last inch off of my metal spudger to see if I could manage to get the side panels off in one piece. I achieved my goal but at what cost😂😅
Taking apart any older console is so simple in comparison to.... Microsoft just holding together a casing with plastic lol.

you need to prise it open. some small parts are plastic welded on this part, and are unavoidable to break. lucky its just very small pieces of plastic that come off, tops of sprues, and are not missed.
The clamp isn’t T10s it’s smaller 😭

Microsoft was clearly on a mission to make this the single most difficult console to repair when designing this absolute piece of garbage console

Really shows just how terrible the 360 is. Microsoft just can't design anything and ofcourse they are competing with Apple who is even worse.
Dude the 360 is legit one of the best consoles of this generation
It's just designed like this because you aren't supposed to take it apart in the first place
@@FrebbyProductions Did you forget the red rings of death? So many failures its uncountable. First generation with downloadable games but not enough disk space. Broken cheap headsets. Overheating cpu/gpu and broken disc drives. Its so bad that you can't even find a used one on the market now that isn't broken. As a literal console technician i can promise you that the 360 is the worse designed console to ever exist let alone from that generation. Just because you liked the games does not make the console good. You can find more working original xboxs on the market than you can find 360s. Infact if you search the garbage dumps you will literally find a xbox 360 section just for people to throw out their broken console and not a single person cares to repair them. I repair original xboxs because they make good money but no one wants to buy a 360.

@@FrebbyProductions You're so wrong. The 360 had red ring of death 1 month or less after release. The 360 died in shipment before even reaching the users. You probably have one of the microsoft repaired ones which are very very rare. You had to actually pay them the shipping to repair your console. They tried fixing it in later releases but by then no one bought it. So the used market is a joke when it comes to the 360 and are all broken. I have 1 with the disc drive failure that im gonna fix by removing the drive from another one with the cpu failure and im only gonna make about 50 bucks from that. Both consoles died 1 month or less after purchase and are pristine. No one wants it. Your experience with the console does not match the rest of the world.

It's a slim but I also own a phat 360
The slim hasn't been cleaned once in its lifetime and still functions perfectly
My father bought the phat 360 at launch and it hadn't had nay issue
My brother has a halo 4 limited edition 360 and it hasn't had amy issues
Xbox 360 had many flaws but they were worked out in due time
You may have had bad experiences with the 360 and worked with consoles before but it's not a bad console it works really damn well and as I mentioned not all other consoles were perfect

I can't say that PS3 was any better to tear down... Recently I opened slim and super slim (SS) and I haven't enjoyed it, but slim model was a little bit better then SS.
