@@IDreamOfGaming Does it run better? I vacuum the ports and sides and vents of mine. Also use some air duster or some other product to help get rid dirt or build up

Mine just keeps turning on for some reason I think it might be a buildup of dust behind the power button

after watching this i realised how easy it actually is to take it all apart, my brothers been having some issues with his xbox running slow so i took it apart to clean it and inside was 8 years worth of dust and even a few dead flies 🤣 safe to say it runs a lot quicker now 🤙
I'm glad I saw this video. I wanted to use this video as education for myself to know how to take apart, reassemble, and manage an xbox one s myself so that I may pass this knowledge down to my nephew who's in love with the system and its entertainment it provides. I want to teach him this so he's not afraid to tinker with his things and also for him to eventually learn how easy it is to manage your money and skills and build something useful for yourself.
I'll eventually get him into building his own PC next etc. but I wanted to start with something simple that doesnt take too much work, time or worry.

Update me and my nephew built his own PC from scratch. Now he's in college going for a degree in cyber security. I'm extremely proud of the kid.

Thanks for the tips, got it apart and found my problem in about 15 minutes. "DOG PEE" and ensuing corrosion on the motherboard. Fun times!!

My dog peed on mine too, I probably should of watched this video before trying to take it apart as I just yanked on the outer plastic casing until it came off and realized...yay, I need one of those hex screwdrivers. I'm sure by the time I'm able to get it all apart and assess the damage it'll be nice and corroded. RIP.

Thank you. I'm opening mine up to hopefully clean any dust out of it because it over heats and turns off after half hour playing but putting a fan on top into the console makes it work fine.
Mine keeps overheating too how did you fix it?

On the areas that are recessed, use a magnum ice cream stick to pop the clips. Doesnt damage anything.

I had to use T-9 security bit, T-8 was too small. The amount of dust was considerable.

Similar situation. My little brother decided to be bad today and sprayed a ton of water in it. I'm planning to do this soon to dry it out.

Cheers mate fixed my box for me, games were crashing alot and then discs wasnt reading so i did this along with a good hoovering out the layers of dust 👌👌
I would suggest using an air duster. The static from the vacuum in theory could short it, plus circuit boards are fragile. Also I would hold the fan blades in place while you dust it. The rotation of the brushes in the motor can create a static charge

Ugh after you remove the sticker you made it look so easy to remove the white thingy I've been trying for 2p minutes with different tools!!
But Scrape, maybe make some scratches around elaborate base while uncovering, it's better using a blower whether just for cleaning or using advanced tools to make it don't have any scratches

What is the easiest way of cleaning your ventilation system as when I try to go on a game I get kicked out and when I turn on my Xbox I get told my ventilation system is screwed up
I have a question I've got a Xbox one S and when I put a game disc in it goes to making a dragging noise like something is hanging up in the unit and I can take the game disc out and go and do something else like watch something on peacock or Hulu and come back to the game and it will let me play it then it's like it's got to warm up before I can play any games and when I go to install a game disc it pops up a message that says the game insulation has stopped and it won't even be half way installed and when I'm playing a game at times it freezes up

A large flat screwdriver
Needle nose pliers
T8 h security screwdriver
And a t6 torx screwdriver

My Xbox one s has all of a sudden stopped playing my game discs. There's a sort of grinding sound when it tries to play them! Do you think taking it apart and blowing out any dust and crap will help? Yes, There are some tabs holding it in place to the chassis. Just pull it away and they will pop off ,but, when you go to put it back together, You will need some hot glue.

Was just gifted an Xbox and holy it was a rat's nest in every way except literal lol. Cockroaches got in it and it was overflowing with dust. It was working but overheated to the point of turning itself off quite a bit
