Spurs don't want Trae Young! With all the 1st round draft picks coming to them they will be able to rebuild with just draft picks and have a young team they can either keep or trade AND save cap space to use with trades for a better players down the line. Spurs are playing chess, everyone else playing checkers.

To stop the teams from losing on purpose so they can get higher draft picks. A couple of years ago whenever u tried to watch regular season after the trade deadline, at least half of the matches were already decided bcs 1 team was tanking. Thats why play-in happened. Even if u r at 12th spot, u can go for the 10th spot, made the playoffs and go for the chip. Same logic.
